This is video #122 in my gameplay series of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for the PlayStation 5. This is a mostly blind playthrough.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLIZ8kn0xML27o2QJbod1TfW_kHBGZ1t3i.html
Previously, the party finished working through the Labyrinth, the first section of the Temple of the Ancients. When they reached the Shrine of Ephemerality, they battled and defeated the Red Dragon. However, when they went down to the Hall of Life tier, some interesting things took place at the Pillar of Parting, and the party got separated. Cloud's group will now progress through the Hall of Life.

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:10 - Temple of the Ancients - Pillar of Parting Cloud's group resumes in the Pillar of Parting area on the Hall of Life - Second Tier level. Cloud's scenario "Divergent Paths" is in progress. Tifa takes Yuffie's Auto-Cast Materia and links it to her Healing Materia. She swaps her Comet Materia and AP Up Materia to Aerith in exchange for the latter's Lightning and Wind Materia and Elemental Materia linked on her armor. She passes her Lightning Materia to Yuffie. When they are ready to go, the party heads northwest. 1:54 - Temple of the Ancients - Corridor of Currents As the party enters the Corridor of Currents, they encounter a swarm of Berserker Bees. These berserk bugs are weak to wind. The party goes north to a ring-shaped hallway. They continue north through the next door (3:45). An event with some Special Forces Operators takes place. Such a pity. After the event, the party steps forward. They encounter a Type G Slug-Ray and a couple of Riot Troopers. An event takes place as the party reaches the northern part of the corridor (6:20). Pretty blustery here, eh? In the west of the northern part of the corridor, a chest contains a Járngreipr (6:31). Tifa equips the Járngreipr, which provides the True Strike ability. She equips the following weapon skills: Critical Hit Rate +5%, Utterly Unbridled Strength, and Weapon Ability Damage +5%. The party descends the northern stairway. As they go down, an event takes place (8:29). Wonderful. After the event, the party climbs onto the vines on the west wall and goes south. When they reach the southern wall, they descend to the lower level. 9:36 - Temple of the Ancients - Wall of Denial After descending the vines, the party alights on a ledge in the Wall of Denial area on the Hall of Life - First Tier level. They go southwest and follow the outer wall east and north. Then, they sidle northwest across a narrow bridge. The party continues north to the Corridor of Crucibles. 10:59 - Temple of the Ancients - Corridor of Crucibles Just as the party reaches the next open area, they encounter a swarm of Berserker Bees and a couple of Cthonilizards. Cloud's Time Materia levels up. After the battle, the party goes to the southwestern part of the Corridor of Crucibles. They encounter another swarm of Berserker Bees and a couple of Blight Frogs. A chest in the southwest of the Corridor of Crucibles contains a chunk of Cosmotite Ore (15:11). The party returns east and begins following the corridor north. Dialogue takes place (15:53). the party must watch out for periodic gusts in this area and proceed when the next gust is calm. At the second gust, the party turns west and takes the western passage. They find another crate with a large ball in the middle (16:56). They push it northeast ahead of them to the third gust, which shows no sign of stopping. This allows them to go north past the third gust (17:32). This starts and concludes Cloud's sub-scenario "Lifestorm". Cloud passes his Luck Up Materia to Tifa and equips an orb of Wind Materia. In the northern open space of the Corridor of Crucibles, the party encounters an Ancient Dragon and another swarm of Berserker Bees. These bees can buzz off. In the northwest, the party climbs a vine wall (21:31). It takes them up to the Pillar of Exile area. 21:37 - Temple of the Ancients - Pillar of Exile The party checks the tower's exterior. To the west, they encounter a couple of Ancient Dragons. A chest in the west contains an Astral Remnant (24:18). After saving, the party enters the tower at the Pillar of Exile (25:08). They encounter a Type G Slug-Ray and a Special Forces Operator. The party takes the eastern door from the tower and goes around a circular corridor. As they continue east to the next outside area, an event takes place (26:39). They must rush east across the crumbling walkway. An event takes place when the party reaches the next tower to the east (27:04). In the east of the next circular corridor, a chest contains 2 Giga-Potions (27:36). As the party exits north from the circular corridor, an event takes place (27:51). Cloud's sub-scenario "Ambush" begins. The party must get the drop on some nearby Shinra troopers. After going northwest, the party enters the next room (28:40). They approach Special Forces Operators for an event. After the event, the party battles three 2-C SOLDIER Operators (29:02). A cutscene takes place after the battle (30:07). Uh, Cloud? Not cool. The party also runs into a couple of troublemakers. They cause even more trouble. "Ambush" and "Divergent Paths" complete. 32:00 - Temple of the Ancients - Font of Life With an interesting transition, we cut to Aerith, Yuffie, and Red XIII in the Font of Life area on the Hall of Life - Third Tier level several hours prior. After the scene, we gain control of Aerith's group (33:10). Aerith's scenario "Keep Trying" begins. Red XIII takes Cloud's Fire and Ice Materia. Aerith trades the Comet Materia and AP Up Materia to Tifa for the latter's Lightning and Wind Materia and Elemental Materia. Aerith equips Cloud's Ribbon and trades the Speed Demon Keychain to him. A convenient rest area is near the group. At the Vending Machine, they buy 2 on-sale Mega-Potions for 200 gil apiece. They rest at the rest bench. Yuffie takes Cloud's Assess Materia. After saving, the party goes north through the door (37:22). An event takes place at the Font of Life. The tutorial "Harnessing the Lifestream" appears. Aerith can gather fragments of the Lifestream floating around the temple and channel that energy into Vessels of Life to stabilize parts of the temple. The sub-scenario "Vessel of Life" begins. Aerith steps on the red altar north of the pool (39:47). The tutorial "Vessels of Life" appears. Aerith targets a Vessel of Life to the west with the R stick. Then, as the player spins the L stick, she channels Lifestream fragments into the vessel. An event takes place when the Vessel of Life is full (40:16). A path leading northwest is restored. "Vessel of Life" complete. The party continues northwest to the Mercy's Altar area. 40:52 - Temple of the Ancients - Mercy's Altar The party follows the path northwest and north to the main area of Mercy's Altar. In the east, Aerith prays to gather Lifestream fragments (42:25). In the southeastern room, the party encounters a Blight Frog and a Panthera Protector (43:28). The tutorial "Blessings of the Lifestream" appears. Depending on how many Lifestream fragments Aerith has absorbed, she will begin combat with various beneficial status effects: Faith, Regen, and Manawall. The Panthera Protector is weak to lightning-elemental damage. Look out for its ring of fire. After the battle, Aerith prays to gather the fiends' Lifestream fragments. In the southwest room, the tutorial "Absorbing the Lifestream" appears. After breaking crystals in this room, Aerith prays to absorb the Lifestream fragments that they leave behind, as well. The party finds Mercy's Altar in the north of the area (46:42). The discovery "Mercy's Vessels" begins. Aerith channels Lifestream fragments into a Vessel of Life to the west, restoring a route to the west. She also channels into a Vessel of Life to the east, restoring a structure in that direction. "Mercy's Vessels" complete. Aerith goes east and finds the newly restored Joy's Ascent. A chest in the southwest of Joy's Ascent contains a bottle of Hi-Ether (48:18). There is also a chest in the northeast, but it seems inaccessible at the moment. I gather that Aerith will have to do some more "reconstruction" before she can reach it. The party goes west and finds the newly restored Sorrow's Descent (51:00). There is some dialogue when they get here. The party goes down the stairs in Sorrow's Descent (51:50). 52:08 - Temple of the Ancients - Order's Altar The party reaches the Order's Altar area on the Hall of Life - Second Tier level. Under the stairway, Aerith breaks a crystal and gathers its Lifestream fragment. A chest in the southwest contains a Gambanteinn (52:43). This new staff provides the Noble Sacrifice ability for Aerith. However, she has yet to master Ray of Judgment from the Plumose Rod, so she does not equip the Gambanteinn yet. To the north, the party encounters an Ancient Dragon. Aerith absorbs its Lifestream fragment after the battle. On the dais in the northeast, Aerith breaks some crystals and absorbs their Lifestream fragments. At the altar, there are already Lifestream fragments in the eastern Vessel of Life. Aerith gathers them. As the party steps on the altar, the discovery "Order's Vessels" begins (56:16). Aerith collects the Lifestream fragments from the western Vessel of Life. Afterwards, she tries filling the Order's Altar's Vessels of Life (57:10). She tries the southeastern vessel first, but she does not have enough fragments to fill it. So, she collects the fragments again. Afterwards, Aerith fills the southwestern Vessel of Life at Order's Altar (57:52). This one, she does have enough fragments for. A new area is restored to the southwest. Aerith tries the western and eastern Vessels of Life. However, she does not have enough fragments for those, either. So, she collects the Lifestream fragments again for later use. The party saves. Next time, they will continue exploring the Hall of Life and restoring pathways in the area. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load The backdrop for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the game selection screen has changed with the start of Chapter 13. 0:22 - Temple of the Ancients - Corridor of Vacuity The party resumes in the Corridor of Vacuity on the Labyrinth Floor - First Tier level of the Temple of the Ancients. The main scenario "Into the Labyrinth" and the sub-scenario "One Step Ahead" are in progress. Barret passes his Comet Materia and AP Up Materia to Tifa. He equips a Fire Materia and an Ice Materia. The party heads up the northwestern stairs. They enter the Azurestar Chamber - Floor (2:54). They use the Azurestar Gear within. There are three options here. First, they shift their gravity to the ceiling. 2:56 - Temple of the Ancients - Sage's Tower The party arrives in the Azurestar Chamber - Ceiling room in the Sage's Tower area on the Labyrinth Ceiling level. On the ceiling, they open a chest for a Whistlewind Scarf (3:16). Next, the party uses the Azurestar Gear to shift their gravity to the eastern wall. 3:48 - Temple of the Ancients - Voidwatch Tower The party arrives in the Azurestar Chamber - Wall room in the Voidwatch Tower area on the Labyrinth Wall - Second Tier level. The party climbs a vine wall in the "west". They follow the vines south out of the room and then climb up to a ledge. The party climbs up the next vine wall (5:21). During the climb, there is some dialogue (5:30). 6:06 - Temple of the Ancients - Plight Room At the top of the wall, the party reaches the Plight Room area. They go downstairs and west to the next room (8:11). They encounter a 2-C SOLDIER Operator, a Security Officer, and two Riot Troopers. The player is prompted to find something to use as footing to help reach the vines. In the south, the party finds a crate with a large ball in the middle (10:41). They move it east a little bit to position it under the vines. When it is tucked into place, the party climbs the crate to reach the vines (11:29). They climb up the vines. 11:33 - Temple of the Ancients - Basin of Purity The party reaches the Basin of Purity area on the Labyrinth Wall - Third Tier level. As they head east, a scene takes place with Shinra guards in the distance (11:54). The sub-scenario "Chasing Waterfalls" begins. The party must drop down the same waterfall as the Shinra guards. There is dialogue as the party reaches the water basin (12:40). Jumping down to the east takes the party back to the Plight Room on the Labyrinth Wall - Second Tier level. 12:51 - Temple of the Ancients - Plight Room The party makes their way back up to the Basin of Purity on the Labyrinth Wall - Third Tier level. 13:10 - Temple of the Ancients - Basin of Purity At a dead end in the northwest, a chest contains a Giga-Potion (13:49). On the northern side of the basin, the party jumps south down the waterfall (14:11). "Chasing Waterfalls" complete. 14:22 - Temple of the Ancients - Ablutionary Font The party lands in a pool in the Ablutionary Font area on the Labyrinth Wall - First Tier level. North of the pool, a chest contains a chunk of Mythril Ore (14:51). The party continues up the southern stairs and then turns east. In the open area upstairs, they encounter a couple of Cthonilizards and a Blight Frog. South of the western stairs in this open area, the party climbs some vines. Up above, they find the Mauvestar Chamber - Wall (18:54). They do not use the Mauvestar Gear yet. A little down and to the northwest, the party finds the Amberstar Chamber - Wall (20:09). They use the Amberstar Gear and switch their gravity "up" to the floor. 20:17 - Temple of the Ancients - Penitential Font The party reaches the Amberstar Chamber - Floor in the Penitential Font area on the Labyrinth Floor - First Tier level. They leave the chamber to find the Penitential Font pool outside. The party climbs the stairway in the southeast. They find a couple of Ancient Dragons upstairs. After the battle, they go through the northern door and climb the northern stairways to the top of the Penitential Font. The party finds an orb of EXP Up Materia (25:11). Very nice! This increases EXP earned by 100%. I'm not sure if it works only for the wearer or for the whole party, but it's still a wonderful find. The party takes the drop into the Pentiential Font pool. Then, they return to the Amberstar Chamber - Floor (26:08). They use the Amberstar Gear and switch their gravity to the wall. 26:11 - Temple of the Ancients - Ablutionary Font The party is returned to the Amberstar Chamber - Wall room in the Ablutionary Font area on the Labyrinth Wall - First Tier. They leave the Amberstar Chamber. They go southeast to the Mauvestar Chamber - Wall room (26:50). They use the Amberstar Gear and switch their gravity up to the ceiling. 26:53 - Temple of the Ancients - Penance Room The party reaches the Penance Room on the Labyrinth Ceiling level. However, this appears to be the way they need to go to progress. The party uses the Mauvestar Gear and switches their gravity down to the floor. 27:16 - Temple of the Ancients - Path of Delusion The party reaches the Mauvestar Chamber - Floor room in the Path of Delusion area on the Labyrinth Floor - Second Tier level. They climb onto the vines north of the Mauvestar Gear and follow the vines west and up to the roof of the chamber. Vines in the east provide a quick way back to the Mauvestar Chamber. From the roof of the Mauvestar Chamber, the party climbs a stairway leading southwest. They encounter a solo Ancient Dragon. Foolish wyrm. After the battle, they find a chest with a Cetran Bangle (31:55). This armor offers high physical defense but no Materia slots. The stairway leading northwest leads to a dead end. No wonder this is the Path of Delusion. So, the party goes back down. They return to the Mauvestar Chamber - Floor (33:14). They use the Mauvestar Gear and switch their gravity up to the ceiling. 33:16 - Temple of the Ancients - Penance Room The party reaches the Mauvestar Chamber - Ceiling room in the Penance Room area on the Labyrinth Ceiling level. They head south out of the chamber and follow the path east. They save before they approach the Shinra guards on the circular platform. Some dialogue takes place as the party approaches the Shinra guards (35:10). Poor fools. The party steps forward and engages the Shinra guards in battle (35:19). "One Step Ahead" complete. The party battles a large number of Security Officers. There are at least 16 of them. The Poison and Petrify Materia levels up. After the battle, the party goes north and takes the door to the Shrine of Ephemerality. 37:28 - Temple of the Ancients - Shrine of Ephemerality The party arrives in a hallway with a welcome rest area. At the Vending Machine, they buy 2 on-sale Giga-Potions for 300 gil apiece and an on-sale Ether for 100 gil. There is also an on-sale plume of Phoenix Down, but the party has a full stack. They rest at the rest bench. With the Item Transmuter, the party transmutes some Phoenix Drafts. However, this does not consume any of the Phoenix Down in the party's inventory. The party sells some plumes of Phoenix Down to the Vending Machine and then buy the on-sale plume of Phoenix Down for 100 gil. After saving, the party goes downstairs to the north. They take the door to the next room (40:08). A cutscene takes place as they enter. Their quest has led them to a dragon! After the scene, it is boss time against the Red Dragon (41:10). The party can hide from its breath attacks behind the pillars, while the pillars last. The Red Dragon is weak to ice-elemental attacks, and it is immune to fire. To start, its Head is targetable. Crippling the Head will pressure it briefly, but the Head will recover quickly. An event takes place partway through the battle (45:01). After the scene, its Right Wing, Left Wing, and Chest will become targetable. Damaging its Chest will reduces the range and intensity of its Crimson Breath attack. It will be pressured after it uses this move. Eventually, the party defeats the Red Dragon (49:57). They earn 50 party EXP. A cutscene takes place after the party defeats the Red Dragon. Bye bye, dragon. The party regains control after the scene (50:46). They can now continue forward. Before they do, though, they backtrack south to the rest area and use the rest bench. When they are ready, the party takes the door north from the Red Dragon's lair. 52:16 - Temple of the Ancients - Path of Guidance The party reaches the Path of Guidance. They follow the corridor north, east, and north while descending some stairways. At the northern end of the path, the party examines the pedestal (53:21). An elevator takes them down to the Hall of Life. "Into the Labyrinth" complete. 53:30 - Temple of the Ancients - Pillar of Parting The party arrives at the Pillar of Parting area on the Hall of Life - Second Tier level. The main scenario "Hall of Life" begins. The search for the Black Materia continues, but it is about to get trickier. As the party goes north towards the red sigil, a cutscene takes place (54:15). Unfortunately, things don't quite go how Aerith hopes. "Hall of Life" complete! After the event, we gain control of Cloud, Barret, and Tifa at the Pillar of Parting (57:54). Cloud's scenario "Divergent Paths" begins. Cloud's group starts near a handy rest area. At the Vending Machine, they buy 2 on-sale Mega-Potions for 200 gil apiece. The party saves. Next time, Cloud and company will try to continue on to the Black Materia. Thanks for watching!

12:00 I find it weird that Donald was more concerned about Daisy killing him, than it being gross to bone a gorilla. Like, that implies that if it weren’t for Daisy, he’d be down for it, and that’s a bit… disturbing.

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Costa del Sol The party resumes in Costa del Sol in the Corel Region. The main scenario "Tracking the Turks" is in progress. The party heads northeast from the town entrance to the Costa Port. They talk to Cid at the port for a cutscene (1:04). "Tracking the Turks" complete. The player earns the trophy "Hearts Out, Dukes Up" for completing Chapter 12. 1:26 - Chapter 13 Start - Junon As Chapter 13: "Where Angels Fear to Tread" begins, we cut to the Junon Aerodrome for a scene with the Turks. 2:49 - Meridian Ocean We return to the party aboard the Tiny Bronco in the Meridian Ocean for another cutscene. After the scenes, we gain control of the party aboard the Tiny Bronco outside Costa del Sol in the Meridian Ocean (3:42). The main scenario "Northern Voyage" begins. The party "sails" northeast through the Meridian Ocean from Costa del Sol. The approach to the Phenomenon Intel 1 site is north of Junon along the way. The party will check it out later. Partway north, the party finds a barrel with a piece of Pirate Jetsam (7:44). They find another a little to the northeast (7:59). A ways north of Junon, a cutscene takes place (8:32). 9:17 - Northwood - Keystone Altar Another cutscene takes place as the Turks reach the Keystone Altar in Northwood. Very interesting! 10:33 - Meridian Ocean We return to the party aboard the Tiny Bronco for another cutscene. After the scene, we regain control of the party aboard the Tiny Bronco (11:05). The voyage north continues. A little southwest of where they resume, they find a barrel with a piece of Pirate Jetsam (11:25). At the northern end of the Meridian Ocean, the party finds the Northwood Port (12:48). There is a warning that the player will not be able to return after landing. The party proceeds with the landing. 12:54 - Northwood A cutscene takes place as the party disembarks at the Northwood Port. "Northern Voyage" complete. The party gains control at the Northwood Port (13:26). The main scenario "Ancient Awakening" begins. Fast travel is unavailable. There is a handy rest area at the Northwood Port. The party checks the Vending Machine and grabs 2 on-sale Mega-Potions for 200 gil apiece. They also pick up another Garm Bangle for 6,500 gil. After using the rest bench, the party chats with Vincent and Cid by the Tiny Bronco. They begin exploring Northwood as they head generally north. As the party approaches the Temple of the Ancients, a cutscene takes place (18:17). After the event, the party gains control (20:06). They continue north and downstairs to the Keystone Altar. 20:45 - Northwood - Keystone Altar West of the altar, a chest contains 2 Mist Mega-Potions (20:54). After saving, the party continues north. 21:22 - Northwood The party crosses the bridge north of the altar. A cutscene takes place as they approach the Temple of the Ancients' courtyard (21:41). Looks like trouble. In the Temple of the Ancients' courtyard, the party encounters a bunch of Shinra soldiers (22:10). The enemy group includes Security Officers, a Special Forces Operator, and a 2-C SOLDIER Operator. Additional Shinra personnel arrive throughout the battle, including Grenadiers, Elite Grenadiers, Elite Security Officers, and more 2-C SOLDIER Operators. The party gains control in the south of the courtyard after the battle. Northwest of the entrance, a chest contains a bottle of Dry Ether (26:59). Northeast of the entrance, a chest contains an X-Potion (28:00). The party heads north from the courtyard entrance. A cutscene takes place as they approach the stairway to the temple's main keep (29:31). The party regains control after the scene (30:40). They can talk to Cid and Vincent again. Upstairs, the party saves. Then, they open the door to the Temple of the Ancients (31:51). A cutscene takes place as they venture inside. "Ancient Awakening" complete. 32:35 - Temple of the Ancients - Union Room Another cutscene takes place as the party enters the Union Room of the Temple of the Ancients. They encounter a Robed Man. The party gains control in the Union Room on the Labyrinth Floor - First Tier level (33:15). The main scenario "The Materia Beckons" begins. The party ventures through the Escher-esque Union Room. They take the doors leading north to a vestibule (35:20). They encounter a Security Officer and a couple of Riot Troopers. 36:23 - Temple of the Ancients - Corridor of Valiance The party takes the next door north to the Labyrinth. They start in the Corridor of Valiance area. As they climb the stairway to the north, another cutscene takes place (37:01). Either Red XIII is right, or this place is subject to altered physics. "The Materia Beckons" complete. We cut to a scene with the Turks on the Path of Guidance (37:50). Then, we return to the party near the start of the Labyrinth (39:05). The main scenario "Into the Labyrinth" and the sub-scenario "One Step Ahead" begin. Time to follow the Shinra troopers on their way to look for the Black Materia. Along the path to the southeast, they find a chest with 2 Giga-Potions (40:25). On the lower floor to the east, the party encounters a couple of Blight Frogs and a Cthonilizard. The Cthonilizard is weak to ice. While it is waiting to ambush prey, exploiting its elemental weakness with magic will exploit it. This area has greenish crystals that can be broken for items. In a room to the south, the party finds a stairway. It leads back the way they came, so probably this was the way they were meant to come down. The party takes the stairway to the north. In the Rubystar Chamber - Floor, they examine the floating Rubystar Gear (44:27). They turn it up to shift their gravity to the ceiling. An event takes place. 45:31 - Temple of the Ancients - Corridor of Trepidation The party arrives in the Rubystar Chamber - Ceiling in the Corridor of Trepidation area on the Labyrinth Ceiling level. Some dialogue takes place as they venture north from the Rubystar Chamber (46:12). There will be Robed Men helpfully pointing the way. The party follows the path downstairs. Below and east of the Rubystar Chamber, they encounter a couple of Ancient Dragons. They are weak to wind-elemental attacks. Hitting them with melee attacks when they descend pressures them. On a ledge to the west, the party finds a Level 5 orb of Chakra Materia (50:35). The party has some dialogue as they find a few Shinra guard bodies (51:04). The party goes up the stairs to the east. At a Robed Man, they begin climbing a set of vines. On the western landing, they find a chest containing a Slipstream Saber (52:36). Cloud equips this new weapon. It provides the ability Counterstance. Cloud equips the following weapon skills: Stagger Recovery, Attack Damage +5%, and Formidable Counter. The party returns to the vines and follows them to the eastern landing. They reach the Jadestar Chamber - Ceiling (55:02). They examine the floating Jadestar Gear and turn it down to shift their gravity to the floor. 55:05 - Temple of the Ancients - Corridor of Vacuity The party reaches the Jadestar Chamber - Floor in the Corridor of Vacuity area on the Labyrinth Floor - First Tier level. Just southwest of the Jadestar Chamber, a chest contains a bottle of Hi-Ether (55:42). Following the path northeast from the Jadestar Chamber, the party encounters a couple of Cthonilizards and an Ancient Dragon. Cthonilizards' breath attacks can inflict Toad. Yuffie's Auto-Cast Materia levels up. The party continues following the main path north and then west. An event with a hapless Special Forces Operator takes place (1:00:02). Yes, this area is certainly subject to its own physics. In a room farther west, the party encounters two Blight Frogs and a Cthonilizard. The Blight Frogs are weak to ice-elemental damage. They can also inflict Toad. In the south of this enemy room, a chest contains an X-Potion (1:02:56). The party saves at the base of the stairway leading north. Next time, they will continue venturing through the Temple of the Ancients. Thanks for watching!

Then, he starts a game against the Shadowblood Queen (36:55). The Shadowblood Queen starts with the Shadowblood Queen card on the right side of the board, and the card powers up by 3 whenever any card is enfeebled. To worsen matters, the queen uses a lot of debuffing cards and cards that claim a lot of territory. The best word for this attempt is a rout. Cloud restarts and makes a second attempt (38:37). Her Majesty routs Cloud again. Cloud restarts and makes a third attempt against the Shadowblood Queen (40:36). 42:29 - Queen's Blood - Shadowblood Queen - Success Cloud restarts and makes a fourth attempt. Each recipe requires an ingredient sold at the GP Exchange, a piece of Pirate Jetsam, and 4 pieces of Dark Matter, in addition to the base accessory. The party saves. Next time, they will work through the rest of what they can of the Musclehead Colosseum. Like the later advanced two-person bouts, the later advanced six-person bouts will also become available after the party completes the main scenario. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square The party resumes in Wonderment Square in the Gold Saucer. The main scenario "Tracking the Turks" is in progress. Cloud will start with the 3D Brawler. I found that this guide has some helpful guidance for the 3D Brawler minigame: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps5/371123-final-fantasy-vii-rebirth/faqs/81141/3d-brawler Cloud examines the 3D Brawler machine. The Advanced difficulty opponents are unlocked. 1:04 - 3D Brawler - Shiva The first advanced opponent in the 3D Brawler is Shiva, the Numb-Knuckled Queen. Cloud starts his first attempt against Shiva (1:10). Shiva can perform all three types of blows with her right hand, but with her left hand, she can only execute a Hook. It is not very easy to tell her right-hand attacks apart. She also has two special combos. After a failure, Cloud makes a second attempt (2:01). Cloud retries and makes a third attempt against Shiva (2:53). Cloud retries and makes a fourth attempt (3:29). Cloud retries and makes a fifth attempt against Shiva (4:04). Cloud retries and makes a sixth attempt (4:52). Cloud retries and makes a seventh attempt against Shiva (5:38). So close. Cloud retries and makes an eighth attempt (6:42). Cloud retries and makes a ninth attempt against Shiva (7:32). Cloud retries and makes a 10th attempt (8:16). This time, he KOs Shiva (9:16). For defeating Shiva, he earns 3 pieces of Dark Matter and 270 Gold Saucer Points. A new item becomes available at the GP Exchange kiosks. 9:31 - 3D Brawler - Ifrit The second advanced opponent in the 3D Brawler is Ifrit, the Burning Bruiser. Cloud starts his first attempt against Ifrit (9:38). Ifrit can perform Hooks and Uppercuts with his right hand, as well as all three types of blows with his left. Compared to Shiva, it seems a little easier to tell Ifrit's blows apart. Pausing before the enemy's blow lands can be helpful for determining what kind of blow they are executing. Ifrit also has three known special combos. After a failure, Cloud makes a second attempt (11:04). After just two attempts, he KOs Ifrit (12:25). For defeating Ifrit, Cloud earns a pair of Golden Brawler's Gloves accessory and 350 Gold Saucer Points. The Golden Brawler's Gloves increase the limit gauge charge rate upon staggering a foe. He has now defeated all advanced rank opponents. New items become available at the GP Exchange kiosks. 12:50 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square After saving, Cloud examines the 3D Brawler machine again. 13:35 - 3D Brawler - Sephiroth After defeating Ifrit and after completing Corel Region Quest 9: "Can't Stop Won't Stop", Cloud can challenge the toughest opponent in the 3D Brawler, Sephiroth, the Seasoned SOLDIER (13:40). Sephiroth has all three types of blows available on each hand. He also has at least four known special combos. To make matters worse, his Limit gauge charges quickly. In short, he is the toughest opponent in the 3D Brawler. Even so, he is pretty easy to read once you know what to look out for, and the pause trick can be very helpful. He crouches low for his Uppercuts, leans down slightly for his Hooks, and stays upright for his Straights. He very rarely uses a Taunt, so evading his combos is the best way to get an opening to strike. After a failure, Cloud makes a second attempt (15:12). After two on-screen attempts, Cloud KOs Sephiroth (19:44). For defeating Sephy, Cloud earns a Ribbon accessory and 400 Gold Saucer Points. The Ribbon prevents detrimental status effects and makes it harder to be interrupted while casting magic. The player earns the trophy "Polygonal Prizefighter" for defeating Sephiroth in 3D Brawler. Cloud has defeated Sephiroth and has become a 3D Brawler master. New items become available at the GP Exchange kiosks. 20:28 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square Cloud equips the Ribbon, a fine reward for getting repeatedly concussed in 3D Brawler. In the Wonderment Square lobby, Cloud visits the GP Exchange counter (21:05). At the Chocobo Square shop, he spends 3,000 GP on an orb of Gil Up Materia. At the Battle Square shop, he spends 2,500 GP on an orb of Level Boost Materia. It appears there are all manner of collectibles and special materials available. After saving, Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Battle Square. 22:35 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square At the entrants' counter in the Musclehead Colosseum, Cloud talks to the Colosseum Receptionist. New combat challenges and a new difficulty level are now available. 23:10 - Musclehead Colosseum - 2 (Easy) Under 2 (Easy), the party undertakes "Two-Person Bout: Exemplary Exterminators" (23:23). The requirements are to (1) complete "Two-Person bout: Devil-May-Care Desperados" and (2) defeat the Classified Foe in the Grasslands, the Quetzalcoatl. I saved this for later because of the recommended level of 39. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud and Yuffie. In Round 1, the party encounters some Junon Flametroopers and some Daemonic Entities. In Round 2, the party encounters a Quetzalcoatl. Cloud and Yuffie defeat all the enemies (27:36). For completing "Two-Person Bout: Exemplary Exterminators", the party earns 2 Hi-Ethers and 80 Gold Saucer Points. 28:08 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square Red XIII takes Tifa's Ice Materia, Fire Materia, and Wind Materia. He takes Yuffie's Auto-Cast Materia and links it with his Healing Materia. Cloud talks to the Colosseum Receptionist again. 29:05 - Musclehead Colosseum - 2 (Easy) Under 2 (Easy), the party undertakes "Two-Person Bout: Ghoulish Delights" (29:13). The requirements are to (1) complete "Two-Person Bout: Exemplary Exterminators" and (2) defeat the Classified Foe in the Junon Region, the Mindflayer. This has a recommended level of 40. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud and Red XIII. In Round 1, the party encounters some Grasslands Wolves and some Crawlers. In Round 2, the party encounters a Mindflayer. How delightful. Cloud and Red defeat all the enemies (34:17). For completing "Two-Person Bout: Ghoulish Delights", the party earns "Tale of the Red Warrior Vol. IV", providing Red XIII with 10 SP, and 100 Gold Saucer Points. The party has completed all easy rank two-person team bouts. 34:51 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square Yuffie takes the Auto-Cast Materia back from Red and links it with her Healing Materia. Tifa takes Red's Fire Materia, Wind Materia, and Lightning Materia. She also takes the Auto-Cast Materia from Yuffie and links it with her Healing Materia. Tifa equips a Safety Bit. Note that fire resistance may be useful for the upcoming challenges. Cloud talks to the Colosseum Receptionist again. 35:47 - Musclehead Colosseum - 2 (Advanced) Under 2 (Advanced), the party undertakes "Two-Toad Bout: Frogjutsu" (35:59). In this bout, the chosen characters compete as frogs. Status-protection gear will not prevent the transformation. This has a recommended level of 44. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud and Tifa. In Round 1, the froggy party encounters three Amphidices. Toadally simple. In Round 2, the party encounters three Citripinefish and a Sandhog Pie. Look out for the Citripinefish's Blackout Bubble. In Round 3, the party encounters a couple of Grangalans, plus whatever Grangalan Juniors and Baby Grangalans get replicated. Look out for the self-destructing little ones. In Round 4, the party encounters two Junon Flametroopers. In Round 5, the party encounters a Levrikon. Cloud and Tifa make all the enemies croak (43:52). For completing "Two-Toad Bout: Frogjutsu", the party earns an Elixir and 140 Gold Saucer Points. 44:41 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square After saving, Cloud talks to the Colosseum Receptionist again. 44:55 - Musclehead Colosseum - 2 (Advanced) Under 2 (Advanced), the party undertakes "Two-Toad Bout: Ribbit Me This" (45:04). The requirement is to complete "Two-Toad Bout: Frogjutsu". The chosen characters compete as frogs in this bout, as well. This has a recommended level of 44. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud and Tifa. In Round 1, the froggy party encounters three Junon Riot Troopers. In Round 2, the party encounters two Grasslands Wolves. In Round 3, the party encounters two Sea Terpsicolts. In Round 4, the party encounters two Cactrots. In Round 5, the party encounters a Bomb. Be careful that its Self-Destruct does not make the party croak. Protection against fire-elemental damage is quite helpful. After a close call against the Bomb, Cloud and Tifa defeat the enemies (55:45). For completing "Two-Toad Bout: Ribbit Me This", the party earns an Enfeeblement Ring accessory and 160 Gold Saucer Points. The Enfeeblement Ring grants Toad at the start of battle. 56:13 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square The party saves. Next time, they will continue throwing down in the Musclehead Colosseum. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:12 - Shinra Manor The party resumes at the Front Gate area in front of Shinra Manor. The main scenario "Tracking the Turks" is in progress. The party warps to Costa del Sol in the Corel Region. 1:15 - Costa del Sol The party checks the Community Noticeboard in front of the Bar del Sol (1:34). They sign up for the final job, "Can't Stop Won't Stop". The client calls themself the Ultimate Party Animal, and they are at the Entrance of the Gold Saucer. Having gone through this quest, there is something else I would rather do to this Ultimate Party Animal. The party warps to the Gold Saucer. 2:02 - Gold Saucer - Entrance In the Entrance area of the Gold Saucer, Cloud approaches the dancing Shinra Middle Manager for a cutscene (2:26). Corel Region Quest 9: "Can't Stop Won't Stop" begins. Cloud receives the Flyer for the UPA Challenge key item. He must beat the Shinra Middle Manager's scores in five of the minigames at the Gold Saucer: Galactic Saviors, Musclehead Colosseum, Chocobo Races, G-Bike, and Queen's Blood. Cloud starts at the Aspiring Party Animal rank. Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Chocobo Square. 4:58 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square Cloud talks to the Shinra Middle Manager in Chocobo Square (5:40). Cloud undertakes the UPA's chocobo racing challenge. 5:48 - The UPA Stakes Cloud chooses Fango for the challenge. After equipping Fango, he proceeds to the race (6:07). The UPA Stakes is a three-lap race. Fortunately, the only other opponent is the Shinra Middle Manager himself. After some of those ridiculous Legend Races, the UPA Stakes is not so bad. Of course, it does have some obstacles and hazards, particularly Cactuar Gates. That is why I like Fango's Chocojump ability. The Shinra Middle Manager is not a terribly tough opponent, but his bird does have an ability that can shock and immobilize the player for a bit. Cloud wins the UPA Stakes in one attempt (11:03). He earns the Mecha-Chocobo, a mechanical chocobo that he can ride in the Chocobo Races. 11:12 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square An event takes place after Cloud wins the UPA Stakes. He ranks up to an Amateur Party Animal. Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Speed Square. 11:55 - Gold Saucer - Speed Square In the Speed Square game room, Cloud approaches the Shinra Middle Manager for a cutscene (12:24). He must beat the UPA's high score in Galactic Saviors. After saving, Cloud talks to the Galactic Saviors Crew Member (13:23). The Expert difficulty is unlocked. The Rank I target score is 25,000. The Rank II target score is 35,000. The Rank III target score is 45,000. The UPA target score is 50,000. Cloud chooses to ride the Expert-difficulty Galactic Saviors. 13:29 - Galactic Saviors - Expert There is a tutorial for "Galactic Saviors: Expert". Notably, the player's craft does not regenerate HP, Restorative Charges restore less HP, and dodging with barrel rolls consumes energy. Cloud starts the Expert-difficulty game (13:34). In the end, Cloud exceeds the UPA target score of 50,000 points (18:37). 18:52 - Gold Saucer - Speed Square An event takes place after Cloud's victory. "Galactic Saviors - Expert Rank I" complete. Cloud earns an X-Potion and 200 Gold Saucer Points. "Galactic Saviors - Expert Rank II" complete. Cloud earns 3 pieces of Dark Matter and 270 Gold Saucer Points. "Galactic Saviors - Expert Rank III" complete. Cloud earns the Space Ranger Medal of Honor accessory and 350 Gold Saucer Points. "Galactic Saviors - Expert UPA" complete. Cloud earns 400 Gold Saucer Points. Cloud earns the atypical rank of Typical Party Animal. The Space Ranger Medal of Honor accessory increases the wearer's Strength and Magic by 10%. Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Battle Square. 20:35 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square The party saves. Yuffie takes Aerith's Revival Materia, and Barret takes Tifa's Revival Materia. Barret takes the Time Materia and Magnify Materia from Tifa. Yuffie gives the Steal Materia to Aerith and takes the Poison Materia and Synergy Materia from her. Cloud already has a Safety Bit, which will provide immunity to instant death. Barret equips the other Safety Bit. The party transmutes a third Safety Bit, which Yuffie equips. In the lobby of Musclehead Colosseum, Cloud talks to the Shinra Middle Manager (22:43). 22:55 - Musclehead Colosseum - UPA Challenge Cloud enters "UPA Challenge: Send in the Clowns", a series of five three-person bouts. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In Round 1, the party confronts a Gigantuar and a Gargantuar. If you thought they were bad separately, wait until you encounter these prickly fiends together. In Round 2, the party faces 10, count 'em, 10 Tonberries. Their Scourge attacks can paralyze party members for the dreaded Chef's Knife attack. However, Safety Bits protect against the instant death effect from Chef's Knife. Of course these hate-filled fiends are still dangerous. In Round 3, the party faces an Ember Zu. If there is one plus to this round, there is only one enemy. It is weak to ice-elemental damage, and exploiting this weakness will pressure it. In Round 4, the party faces two Jokers and a Gigantoad. The Jokers are weak to wind-elemental attacks. The Gigantoad is weak to ice-elemental attacks. Disabling its Tongue when the Tongue is out will pressure the fiend. In Round 5, the party faces an Ironclad, an iron giant with a huge sword. It is weak to lightning-elemental damage. After a certain amount of time, it uses Sharpen and becomes pressured. If not staggered soon afterwards, it unleashes a powerful attack. In addition to strong sword attacks, it uses Firaga and Graviga. The party eventually clears "UPA Challenge: Send in the Clowns" (47:13). They earn 300 Gold Saucer Points. 47:33 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square An event with the Shinra Middle Manager follows this insane series of bouts. Cloud achieves the rank of Renowned Party Animal. Whee doggy. Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Wonderment Square. 48:27 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square After saving, Cloud approaches the Shinra Middle Manager on the G-Bike platform for an event (49:11). Naturally, Cloud must beat the UPA's high score in G-Bike. Cloud examines the G-Bike (49:56). The Expert difficulty is unlocked. The Rank I target score is 23,000. The Rank II target score is 27,000. The Rank III target score is 31,000. The UPA target score is 32,000. Cloud chooses to ride the Expert-difficulty G-Bike. 49:59 - G-Bike - Expert Cloud double-checks the "G-Bike" tutorial. Afterwards, he begins playing Expert-difficulty G-Bike (50:08). There are plenty of enemy bikers this time around. Grab as many of the pickups and defeat as many enemies as possible while avoiding enemy attacks, especially the bombs. In the end, Cloud ekes past the UPA's high score of 32,000 points (53:50). 54:06 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square An event with the Shinra Middle Manager takes place. "G-Bike - Expert Rank I" complete. Cloud earns an Astral Remnant and 200 Gold Saucer Points. "G-Bike - Expert Rank II" complete. Cloud earns 3 pieces of Dark Matter and 270 Gold Saucer Points. "G-Bike - Expert Rank III" complete. Cloud earns a Limit Booster accessory and 350 Gold Saucer Points. "G-Bike - Expert UPA" complete. Cloud earns 400 Gold Saucer Points. Cloud attains the rank of Enviable Party Animal. After saving, Cloud talks to the Shinra Middle Manager at a Queen's Blood table in the southeast (55:32). Of course, he must now beat the UPA's high score in Queen's Blood. So, Cloud challenges him to QB. 55:45 - Queen's Blood - Shinra Middle Manager Cloud edits his deck and adds the Emerald Witch card that he earned from Vincent. Then, he starts the match against the Shinra Middle Manager (56:44). This game starts with the Ultimate Party Animal card in the middle. If this card is in play when the round ends, the loser of each lane's score is added to the victor's. The Shinra Middle Manager can use the Dio card, which can be quite dangerous. Cloud wins the match (1:00:10). For defeating the Shinra Middle Manager, he earns the No. 142: Ultimate Party Animal card. 1:00:30 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square A cutscene takes place after Cloud's victory. Cloud achieves the rank of Magnificent Party Animal. To supplant the Shinra Middle Manager as the Ultimate Party Animal, though, Cloud must best him in 3D Brawler. Oh, joy. After saving, Cloud talks to the Shinra Middle Manager at the stairs leading to the 3D Brawler (1:01:41). 1:01:56 - 3D Brawler - Shinra Middle Manager The Shinra Middle Manager is a tough opponent. He can use Straights, Hooks, and Uppercuts with each hand, and identifying them on the fly can be a challenge. However, he only has two combination moves, and successfully dodging them gives the player an opening to strike. In the end, Cloud shatters the Shinra Middle Manager's glass jaw (1:03:08). However, this minigame took me several tries, which I left off-screen. The description is continued in a reply.

Description continuation: 1:03:25 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square A cutscene takes place after Cloud defeats the Shinra Middle Manager. He is now the Ultimate Party Animal. It's almost worth suffering through all those minigames. Maybe the Shinra Middle Manager ought to change jobs and come to work here. The party earns an orb of Gambler Materia. "Can't Stop Won't Stop" complete! The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,900 EXP. The player earns the trophy "My Job Here Is Done" for completing all quests in the game. The tutorial "3D Brawler: A New Challenger Appears". An insanely powerful new opponent is available in 3D Brawler, as if the Shinra Middle Manager weren't enough. However, there might be an excellent reward for toppling that new opponent. The Gambler Materia gives the user the Gamble ability, which allows the character to use an ability or spell from the party's equipped Materia at random. However, spells cast with Gamble consume MP. Cloud saves near the Guide Moogle. There is still more side content to do. Next time, the party will finish getting concussed at the 3D Brawler before they head to the Musclehead Colosseum. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square Cloud resumes in Chocobo Square in the Gold Saucer. The main scenario "Tracking the Turks" is in progress. The party warps to Costa del Sol. 0:51 - Costa del Sol The party checks the Community Noticeboard outside Bar del Sol (1:11). They sign up for the new job, "Gold Cup or Bust". The client is Billy at Chocobo Square in the Gold Saucer. The party warps back to the Gold Saucer. 1:38 - Gold Saucer - Entrance Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Chocobo Square. 1:55 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square Cloud approaches Billy in Chocobo Square for a cutscene (2:19). Corel Region Quest 7: "Gold Cup or Bust" begins. Cloud must now win the Gold Cup. After saving, Cloud talks to the Receptionist (3:30). The tutorial "The Gold Cup" appears. The Gold Cup is available to Gold Rank or Legend Rank jockeys. The Gold Cup takes place over three legs. The jockey with the most total points after all three legs wins the Gold Cup. By placing first in all three races, the rider can earn a flawless victory. Cloud chooses Grade I to enter the Gold Cup (3:45). He chooses Piko and spiffs him up in the Hyperion's Helm, Hyperion's Armor, and Hyperion's Shin Guards. Cloud chooses to proceed to the race (4:06). A cutscene with Billy takes place in the Jockey Lounge. Sam and Joe drops in for some drama. Yeah, Cloud; no pressure. 7:07 - The Gold Cup - 1st Leg A cutscene provides an overview of the 1st Leg of the Gold Cup track. Afterwards, the 1st Leg begins (7:57). It's not as bad as some of those Legend Races, but it is still a challenging track. Joe and Hyperion give no quarter. After some flubs, Cloud retries and starts the 1st Leg again (9:32). This time, Cloud wins the 1st Leg (12:36). 12:57 - The Gold Cup - 2nd Leg A cutscene provides an overview of the 2nd Leg. Then, the 2nd Leg begins (13:09). Look out for the rotating bars with balls. When it is apparent that he will not win, Cloud retries and starts the 2nd Leg over (16:33). After some flubs, Cloud retries and starts the 2nd Leg once again (19:30). This time, Cloud wins the 2nd Leg (23:09). 23:28 - The Gold Cup - 3rd Leg A cutscene provides an overview of the 3rd Leg. Then, the 3rd Leg begins (23:41). Lots of curves, obstacles, and flying feathers. After studying the track for a couple of laps, Cloud retries and starts the 3rd Leg over (26:10). This time, Cloud wins the 3rd Leg (29:57). A victory lap ensues. For a flawless victory in the Gold Cup, Cloud wins the Chocoking's Cape accessory and 200 Gold Saucer Points. The Chocoking's Cape fills one ATB charge at the start of battle. The player earns the trophy "Hall of Famer" for winning all chocobo races. Those Legend Races were especially rough. 31:09 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square After Cloud's victory, a cutscene with a very excited Billy takes place in the Jockey Lounge. Sam arrives and sets the record straight for our young chocobo rancher. Cloud's relationship with Tifa changes. "Gold Cup or Bust" complete! The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,900 EXP. A new quest becomes available in the Corel Region. Cloud regains control in the Chocobo Square lobby after the scene (37:49). After saving, Cloud warps to Shinra Manor in the Nibel Region. 39:55 - Shinra Manor In the Courtyard of Shinra Manor, Cloud talks to Vincent in the northeast (40:23). Why am I not surprised that the Monster of Chaos is he? Challenging him requires Queen's Blood Rank 10: Blood Sovereign. Cloud challenges Vincent to a game of Queen's Blood. 41:00 - Queen's Blood - Vincent - Failures After reviewing his deck, Cloud starts a match against Vincent (41:40). After an attempt, Cloud restarts and plays a second attempt against Vincent (44:54). From the start, it does not go well. Cloud restarts and plays a third attempt against Vincent (46:32). Cloud restarts and plays a fourth attempt against Vincent (50:04). 53:00 - Queen's Blood - Vincent - Success Cloud restarts and plays a fifth game against Vincent (53:00). Eventually, Cloud wins (56:09). 56:28 - Shinra Manor A cutscene takes place after Cloud defeats Vincent. Vincent gives Cloud the No. 144: Emerald Witch card. For defeating 29 Queen's Blood players, including Vincent, Cloud reaches Queen's Blood Rank 11: Blood Executioner. Chadley contacts Cloud afterwards (57:05). Chadley marks the Shadowblood Queen's location. She is in the Gongaga Ruins in the west of the Gongaga Region. The party saves outside the Front Gate. Next time, they will return to the Corel Region for the newly unlocked quest, which will force them to have fun throughout the Gold Saucer. Thanks for watching!

Cloud talks to the Receptionist (0:51). 0:58 - Chocobo Race - Grade II Cloud enters "The Ifrit Blaze", a Silver Race (1:05). The Grade II races are named after summons. They are also longer than the Grade III races. "The Ifrit Blaze" introduces springboards that can carry racers over obstacles. You have to approach the springboard's button head-on to use the device. Cloud finishes in first place (6:29). For winning "The Ifrit Blaze", he earns an Ether and 210 Gold Saucer Points. For 3 first-time Silver Race wins, Cloud is promoted to the Gold jockey rank. He can now compete in the Gold Cup, though he will have to accept Billy's quest before he can register. The Gold Races in Grade II are unlocked. 6:47 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square After saving, Cloud talks to the Receptionist again (7:01). 7:08 - Chocobo Race - Grade II Cloud enters "The Shiva Icefields", a Silver Race (7:14). The Legend Races in Grade II are unlocked. 33:33 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square After saving, Cloud talks to the Receptionist again (34:08). 34:16 - Chocobo Race - Grade II Cloud enters "The Kujata Stampede", a Gold Race (34:20). More fun with obstacles awaits. Cloud finishes in first place (39:48). For winning "The Kujata Stampede", he earns 3 pieces of Dark Matter and 330 Gold Saucer Points. 40:08 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square After saving, Cloud talks to the Receptionist again (40:22). 40:28 - Chocobo Race - Grade II Cloud enters "The Odin Straights", a Legend Race (40:33). The Legend Races are loaded with hazards, and the competition is stiff. Be careful of a few right-angle turns. Cloud finishes in first place (45:17). For winning "The Odin Straights", he earns the Hyperion's Helm and 390 Gold Saucer Points. The Hyperion's Helm is chocobo headgear. 45:33 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square After saving, Cloud talks to the Receptionist again (45:47). 45:54 - Chocobo Race - Grade II Cloud enters "The Alexander Siege", a Legend Race (45:58). He gives Piko the Hyperion's Helm. Then, he starts "The Alexander Siege" (46:09). This is where things start to get ridiculous with the excessive number of hazards and obstacles. Cloud finishes in first place (51:26). For winning "The Alexander Siege", he earns the Hyperion's Armor and 405 Gold Saucer Points. The Hyperion's Armor is chocobo chest gear. 51:42 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square After saving, Cloud talks to the Receptionist again (51:56). 52:03 - Chocobo Race - Grade II Cloud enters "The Phoenix Trial", a Legend Race (52:06). He gives Piko the Hyperion's Armor. Then, he starts "The Phoenix Trial" (52:12). This is another tough one with lots of obstructions. However, a couple of potential long jumps can be a boon to the player. Cloud finishes in first place (56:57). For winning "The Phoenix Trial", he earns the Hyperion's Shin Guards and 420 Gold Saucer Points. The Hyperion's Shin Guards are chocobo leg gear. 57:13 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square After saving, Cloud talks to the Receptionist again (57:27). 57:34 - Chocobo Race - Grade II Cloud enters "The Bahamut Skirmish", a Legend Race (57:37). Rather than Piko, he will ride Fango of Gongaga, who has the Chocojump ability. He equips Fango with the Hyperion's Helm, Hyperion's Armor, and Hyperion's Shin Guards. Then, he starts "The Bahamut Skirmish" (58:00). Whoever dreamed up this course was some kind of sadist. It is littered with all manner of obstructions. With Fango, though, the rider can use Chocojump (if charged) to jump over some obstructions, notably the tricky Cactuar Gates in the latter part of the course. I also found Fango a little faster than Piko. There are some helpful jumps in the course, if you take advantage of them. Cloud finishes in first place (1:04:10). For winning "The Bahamut Skirmish", he earns a pair of Time Materia Earrings and 450 Gold Saucer Points. The Time Materia Earrings give the wearer use of the spells Haste, Slow, and Stop. Cloud has won every Grade II chocobo race. Whew! 1:04:25 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square The party saves. Next time, the party will work on Billy's quest and race in the Gold Cup. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Costa del Sol The party resumes outside Johnny's Seaside Inn in Costa del Sol. The main scenario "Tracking the Turks" is in progress. The party warps to the Gold Saucer. 0:52 - Gold Saucer - Entrance At the Entrance, the party takes the Guide Moogle to Chocobo Square. 1:10 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square At the central counter, the party talks to the Receptionist (1:34). A new difficulty level is unlocked. The tutorial "Chocobo Racing" is shown. The right chocobo and the right gear can help Cloud win particular races. 1:49 - Chocobo Race - Grade III Cloud starts at the Maiden jockey rank. Currently, he can only sign up for Grade III races. Under Grade III, Cloud enters "The Carbuncle Classic", a Maiden Race (1:56). He chooses Piko as his chocobo and equips some gear. Each piece of gear provides certain benefits. Each chocobo also has its strengths and its own special ability. I find Piko's Speed Burst quite effective in many races. After gearing up Piko, Cloud starts "The Carbuncle Classic" (2:36). This race is pretty basic. Cloud finishes in first place (5:48). For winning "The Carbuncle Classic", he earns 3 Potions and 70 Gold Saucer Points. Next, Cloud enters "The Moogle Oaks", a Maiden Race (6:01). This race introduces arrow panels. The ones pointing forward will help racers, but the ones pointing backward will slow racers down. There also wind machines that will lift racers into the air. Cloud finishes in first place (10:01). For winning "The Moogle Oaks", he earns 5 Potions and 75 Gold Saucer Points. For 2 first-time Maiden Race wins, he is promoted to the Bronze jockey rank. The Bronze Races in Grade III are unlocked. 10:20 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square The party saves. Then, they talk to the Receptionist so Cloud can continue racing (10:42). 10:49 - Chocobo Race - Grade III Under Grade III, Cloud enters "The Cactuar Derby", a Maiden Race (10:54). This race introduces rotating saucer panels, which will help riders if they go in the direction of the saucer's spin. There is also a shallow pond, which will slow down racers. Cloud finishes in first place (14:02). For winning "The Cactuar Derby", he earns 3 Hi-Potions and 90 Gold Saucer Points. Then, Cloud enters "The Bomb Blowout", a Bronze Race (14:14). This one is tricky. It introduces Bomb balloons. If a racer hits a Bomb balloon the balloon will explode and stun the racer for a moment. At the pond, racers can bear left for a shortcut, but the hairpin turns after the shortcut can be a challenge to manage. Cloud comes in second place (17:45). He earns 30 Gold Saucer Points. However, he must win to progress as a jockey. Cloud retries "The Bomb Blowout" (17:53). This time, he finishes in first place (21:16). For winning "The Bomb Blowout", he earns 5 Hi-Potions and 95 Gold Saucer Points. Next, Cloud enters "The Malboro Memorial", a Bronze Race (21:27). This one introduces cushions, which will bounce the racer away if the racer runs into them. There are also arrow panels that riders may use to their advantage. Look out for a shortcut on the right in the latter part of the track. Cloud finishes in first place (25:10). For winning "The Malboro Memorial", he earns 3 Mega-Potions and 110 Gold Saucer Points. Afterwards, Cloud enters "The Tonberry Derby", a Bronze Race (25:21). This race introduces Cactuar Gates that close and open periodically. Timing is the key. There is also an air jump near the beginning that the racer can use to glide ahead a little bit. Cloud finishes in first place (28:51). For winning "The Tonberry Derby", he earns 5 Mega-Potions and 125 Gold Saucer Points. For 3 first-time Bronze Race wins, he is promoted to Silver jockey rank. He can now participate in Grade II races. The Silver Races in Grade III are unlocked. 29:13 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square The party saves. Then, they talk to the Receptionist so Cloud can continue racing (29:27). 29:34 - Chocobo Race - Grade III Cloud enters "The Coeurl Championship", a Bronze Race (29:36). This twisty track introduces spinning rods with metal orbs attached. Racers should do their best to avoid these. Look out for unprotected borders where the racer can fall off; a Moogle will return the racer to the track, but there will be a delay. Cloud finishes in first place (32:56). For winning "The Coeurl Championship", he earns the Debonair Hat and 140 Gold Saucer Points. The Debonair Hat is chocobo headgear. 33:10 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square The party saves. Then, they talk to the Receptionist so Cloud can continue racing (33:24). 33:30 - Chocobo Race - Grade III Cloud enters "The Behemoth Grand Prix", a Silver Race (33:33). He tries the Debonair Hat on Piko. After gearing up Piko, Cloud starts "The Behemoth Grand Prix" (34:09). This track introduces sliding boxes that racers should avoid. It can be hard to avoid running into other racers in the narrow parts of the track. There are also more Cactuar Gates, which trip up Cloud and Piko this time. There is a shortcut to the right after a set of Cactuar Gates. Cloud retries and runs "The Behemoth Grand Prix" a second time (37:28). Cloud finishes in first place this time (40:50). For winning "The Behemoth Grand Prix", he earns the Debonair Waistcoat and 175 Gold Saucer Points. The Debonair Waistcoat is chocobo torso gear. 41:08 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square The party saves. Then, they talk to the Receptionist so Cloud can continue racing (41:20). 41:27 - Chocobo Race - Grade III Cloud enters "The Ultima Stakes", a Silver Race (41:32). He checks the effect of the Debonair Waistcoat, which helps when you fall off the track. After gearing up Piko, Cloud starts "The Ultima Stakes" (42:25). This track includes several of the tricks introduced during the prior Grade III races. After a few flubs, Cloud retries and starts "The Ultima Stakes" a second time (44:59). After another flub, Cloud retries and starts "The Ultima Stakes" a third time (45:49). This time, Cloud finishes in first place (48:59). For winning "The Ultima Stakes", he earns the Debonair Anklets and 190 Gold Saucer Points. The Debonair Anklets are chocobo leg gear. Cloud has now won every Grade III chocobo race. Goody. 49:16 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square The party saves. Then, they take the Guide Moogle to Ghost Square. 49:41 - Gold Saucer - Ghost Square In the lobby of the Haunted Hotel, Cloud talks to Lidrehl (50:07). After some dialogue, he challenges Lidrehl to a Queen's Blood match. 50:33 - Queen's Blood - Lidrehl After reviewing his deck, Cloud starts a game against Lidrehl (51:19). In one game, Cloud wins (53:51). For defeating Lidrehl, he earns the No. 097: Ramuh card. 54:10 - Gold Saucer - Ghost Square A cutscene takes place after Cloud has defeated Lidrehl. Ah, so we have Lidrehl to thank for getting Cloud addicted to QB in the first place. For defeating 28 Queen's Blood players, including Lidrehl, Cloud reaches Queen's Blood Rank 10: Blood Sovereign. Chadley contacts the party (55:50). Chadley marks the location of the next QB opponent, the Monster of Chaos, on the map. This Monster of Chaos is in the Courtyard of Shinra Manor. I have a feeling I know this Monster of Chaos's identity. The party takes the Guide Moogle to Chocobo Square. 56:32 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square The party saves. Next time, Cloud will compete in the Grade II chocobo races. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Gold Saucer - Entrance The party resumes at the Welcome Area in the Entrance of the Gold Saucer. The main scenario "Tracking the Turks" is in progress. In the north of the Welcome Area, the party talks to the Parking Attendant (1:08). They choose to leave the Gold Saucer in the Buggy. 1:14 - Corel Region - Southern Corel The party drives southwest from the Gold Saucer's parking garage. Southwest of tower 3, the Wasteland Tower, they find the World Intel "Phenomenon Intel 3: Modular Reactor 3" (2:30). As usual, the front door is sealed. The party examines the cactuar statue by the front door (2:58). They obtain the Cactuar Statue III key item. When they hold this up, its beam of light will show the way to the corresponding cactuar rock. The beam points generally west. South/southwest of Modular Reactor 3, the party repairs a chocobo stop (4:16). They obtain a Golden Plume. They seem to be missing two Golden Plumes. The party drives west from the chocobo stop and fords obstructed river. In the area between Modular Reactor 3 and the Scrapyard Prison Cell, the party climbs a rock wall to a higher plateau (7:04). To the southwest, there is a hole. The cactuar rock can be seen in the grotto at the bottom of the hole, but the party cannot simply drop in. Instead, the party makes their way south. They go down a slope and descend a rock wall. They climb another rock wall north of there and then go down the next rock wall. The party finds Cactuar Rock III (8:52). Cloud raises Cactuar Statue III in front of this Cactuar Rock (9:04). The statue shatters, and an oversized cactuar appears. Yikes! After the event, the party battles the Gigantuar (9:16). It becomes pressured when it uses the Needle Rain ability. The party defeats this cantankerous cactus (11:20). Brief dialogue takes place. The party examines Cactuar Rock III for a cutscene (11:48). Well, at least someone enjoys playing Gumby. The party can now unseal the door at Modular Reactor 3. The party warps to the chocobo stop south of the "Phenomenon Intel 3: Modular Reactor 3" location (12:24). They use a Cushion to rest here. The party heads north to "Phenomenon Intel 3: Modular Reactor 3" (12:56). They examine the door to Modular Reactor 3 (13:16). The door opens. They can now enter to investigate. The party enters Modular Reactor 3 and descends the ladder. After saving, the party goes through the door to the outer ring corridor (14:12). An event with Kid G and some pesky interlopers takes place. Well, well. Now we know why we had to wait so long to continue the Phenomenon Intel missions here. I feel so not sorry for you, Don Corneo. But enough about that Midgar sewer rat. Kid G has a new trial in store for Yuffie. She attempts Cactuar Crush. 17:04 - Cactuar Crush: Reactor 3 Trial Kid G has some new cactuars in this challenge, including Gold Cactuars. There are also Cacneos that can switch affinity between Pugilistic Cacneos and Magical Cacneos. In the end, Yuffie clears the challenge (23:24). She clears the Rank I target score of 2,000 points, the Rank II target score of 3,000, and the Rank III target score of 4,000. 23:36 - Corel Region - Southern Corel A cutscene with Kid G takes place after Yuffie completes her second trial. "Cactuar Crush - Reactor 3 Rank I" complete. The party earns 2 Mist Giga-Potions. "Cactuar Crush - Reactor 3 Rank II" complete. The party earns a chunk of Cosmotite Ore. "Cactuar Crush - Reactor 3 Rank III" complete. The party earns 3 orbs of Dark Matter. Kid G rewards the party with the Treasure of the Sands Fragment γ key item. "Phenomenon Intel 3: Unfriendly Companions" complete. The party earns 10 Corel Region data points and 5 party EXP. The "Phenomenon Intel 4: Modular Reactor 4" location is added to the map. It is in the southeastern part of Southern Corel. The party can talk to the Cactuar in Modular Reactor 3 to attempt Yuffie's second trial again, if they so wish. I see no need right now. The party warps to the Corel Desert Waypoint destination (25:22). They make their way southeast. They find the World Intel "Phenomenon Intel 4: Modular Reactor 4" a ways south of the Riverside Tower (26:26). As at the previous locations, the door is sealed when they arrive. The party examines the statue on the pedestal by the door (26:55). They obtain the Cactuar Statue IV key item. Also as before, holding this statue aloft will light the way to the next cactuar rock. Fortunately, I already noticed the cactuar rock while exploring the area a long time ago. The party warps to the chocobo stop southeast of the Wasteland Moogle location (27:41). They climb a rock wall northeast of this chocobo stop (28:10). On the plateau, they follow the next rock wall south. Then, they grapple southwest with the Grappling Hook. The party finds the Cactuar Rock IV destination (29:14). After saving, they hold up Cactuar Statue IV in front of this Cactuar Rock (29:29). The statue shatters, and a flowered fiend materializes. After the event, the party battles a Gargantuar (29:45). Despite the flower, it is just as prickly as the Gigantuar. It becomes pressured when it uses the Needle Rain ability. Tifa reaches Level 48 and earns 5 SP. Brief dialogue takes place after the party topples the Gargantuar (31:53). The party examines Cactuar Rock IV (32:03). Heh, we now have a matching trio. Or maybe a matching quartet. Chadley has found information regarding the situation. The party warps back to the chocobo stop north of Cactuar Statue IV (33:22). They rest here with a Cushion. Then, they drive west with the Buggy. In the pass to the west, they find the "Smugglers' Truck" cache location (34:38). There are three treasure chests to find here. The party finds a few Moogle Medals in the crates in the area. By the crashed flatbed truck on the plateau, a chest east of the center of the search area contains a chunk of Mythril Ore (35:14). Down a cliff face below the truck, a chest north of the center of the search area contains a vial of Celeris (36:03). Down a rock wall southwest of this chest, a chest northwest of the center of the search area contains a plume of Phoenix Down (36:27). "Smugglers' Truck" complete! As the party continues in the valley below, they find the "Desert Watermain" cache location a short way to the northwest (37:02). There are three treasure chests to find here. The party finds more Moogle Medals in the crates in the area. On the concrete platform, a chest just northeast of the center of the search area contains a Mega-Potion (37:31). Just northwest of the concrete platform, a chest northwest of the center of the search area contains an Ether Onion (38:12). In a pipe loop northwest of the concrete platform, a chest farther west/northwest of the center of the search area contains a bottle of Ether (38:40). "Desert Watermain" complete! The party returns to the "Phenomenon Intel 4: Modular Reactor 4" location (39:47). They examine the door to Modular Reactor 4 (40:25). The door opens, allowing them to investigate the interior. The party enters Modular Reactor 4 and descends the ladder. After saving, the party enters the reactor's circular outer loop chamber (41:21). A cutscene with Kid G takes place. He has an updated trial for Aerith now. Aerith begins her second trial. 42:28 - Cactuar Crush: Reactor 4 Trial Aerith begins her trial. Do not forget her elemental wards against the appropriate cactuar variants. Some variants can now raise Manawards. The Gold Gigantuars are pretty tough to take out. In the end, Aerith manages to clear the challenge (46:48). She clears the Rank I target score of 2,000. 47:02 - Corel Region - Southern Corel A cutscene takes place outside Modular Reactor 4 after Aerith clears her trial. "Cactuar Crush - Reactor 4 Rank I" complete. The party earns a bottle of Dry Ether. The Treasure of the Sands Fragments form the Protorelic. Some bad pennies turn up, but they are scared off quickly. However, Kid G issues an irresistible challenge to Cloud. Cloud agrees to spar with Kid G (50:08). After a brief event, it is boss time against Kid G (50:18). The party has now registered 38 Corel Region enemy types. Nice. Kid G is quite a punchy little fellow, and he hits fast and hard. He can recover some HP with the Respite ability. Dealing with his post-parry attack or his Goblin Beatdown ability will pressure him. If the party fails to stagger him after a certain amount of time, he will execute his powerful Whammo attack. Red XIII and Yuffie reach Level 48 and earn 5 SP each. The description is continued in a reply.

Description continuation: A cutscene takes place after the party has defeated Kid G (55:18). He rewards the party with Kid G's Protorelic. The tutorial "Cactuar Crush: Hard Mode" appears. The party can now undertake Hard Mode of the Cactuar Crush minigame at each of the Modular Reactors for additional party EXP. Fun. "Phenomenon Intel 4: Bladesman of Legend" complete! The party earns 10 Corel Region data points and 5 party EXP. At last, they have collected all World Intel data for the Corel Region. Cloud obtains Kid G's Protorelic. The player earns the trophy "Cactuar Crusher" for obtaining a Protorelic in the Corel Region. Obtaining Kid G's Protorelic triggers another interesting cutscene (56:26). He again meets the Eccentric Swordsman. The scene confirms a thought that I had about the protorelics: they are Genji gear. The swordsman also confirms his name: Gilgamesh. He challenges Cloud to face him on Gilgamesh Island. If you insist, Gilgamesh. After Cloud's weird vision, Chadley contacts him (59:23). He registers the "Phenomenon Intel 1: Gilgamesh Gardens" location in the northeast of the Meridian Ocean. Not only has Cloud obtained Kid G's Protorelic, the combat trial "Corel Region Intel: Level 2" has become available in the Combat Simulator. Oh, joy. The party warps to the Costa del Sol destination in Northern Corel. 1:01:35 - Costa del Sol The party talks to Chadley (1:01:50). They spend 30 Corel Region data points to develop another orb of Auto-Weapon Ability Materia. I wonder if there is more materia to develop for the Meridian Ocean region. The party talks to Jenny to warp to Johnny's Seaside Inn (1:02:32). They rest in their room. Afterwards, the party saves outside. Next time, they will work on the Chocobo Races at the Gold Saucer. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square Cloud resumes in the Battle Square in the Gold Saucer. The main scenario "The Fight for Naming Rights" is in progress. Cloud and his date from the date sequence, Aerith in this case, are required in the combat party for the Fight for Naming Rights. The player is free to choose the third member. I put Barret in the lineup. Barret links his Time Materia and Magnify Materia. Cloud heads to the Musclehead Colosseum lobby. His companions are there, though he cannot speak to them right now. At the registration counter, Cloud talks to the Colosseum Receptionist (3:46). He chooses to participate in the match. 4:06 - Gold Saucer - Musclehead Colosseum A cutscene takes place as we cut to the Musclehead Colosseum's arena. Cor blimey. Corneo and his flunkies, Scotch and Kotch, sure know how to assault the ears. After the corny Corneo intro, the Battle for Naming Rights begins (6:21). In Round 1, the party battles a bunch of Corneo Lackeys. The Corneo Lackeys are weak to fire-elemental damage. Look out for their Flamethrower attacks. A cutscene takes place after the party has roasted the Corneo Lackeys (8:59). The next opponents will be prickly. In Round 2, the party battles three Cacneos (9:46). Of course, they are Cactuar variants. Getting a bead on each Cacneo can be a challenge because they hide until they attack. A cutscene takes place after the party has taken out the Cacneos (11:04). Nice double-teaming, Nanaki and Cait Sith. However, the next contenders appear to have quite a grudge. In Round 3, the party battles the Donberry and two Tonberries (12:52). The Donberry's Scourge attack can paralyze a party member momentarily. Look out for its lethal Bloodstained Knife attack. During this battle, I get the "Backline Commands" tutorial. When the frontline party is in dire straits, the player can execute a Backline Command from the commands menu to perform a synergy ability with the backline characters. This can be performed once per battle. Barret reaches Level 48 and earns 5 SP. A cutscene takes place after the Donberry has been cut down to size (16:27). Wait, Corneo's sewer pet is still alive? Gross. Let's be sure to feed Corneo to it. In Round 4, the party battles Abzu once again (18:08). Well, relative to Final Fantasy VII Remake. It is their first time encountering this monstrosity in this installment. Abzu is weak to fire-elemental attacks. However, it will evade fire spells when its HP falls below half, and Corneo will douse its flames. It is resistant to ice normally and immune to ice when staggered. If its Ferocious Charge misses, it will hit the wall and become pressured, and Corneo will faint. Abzu's Flail attack sucks in nearby party members to inflict damage. An event takes place partway through the battle (20:27). Corneo fires up Abzu. Abzu definitely goes ape for the rest of the encounter. The party defeats Abzu (24:20). Aerith reaches Level 48 and earns 5 SP. The party earns 50 party EXP. A cutscene with Corneo takes place after the match. So long, Corneo. Woe to you if we see you again. A cutscene with Dio takes place after the Don has fled (26:09). But unfortunately, getting the Keystone won't be so easy. One of the reasons will surprise no one that played the original Final Fantasy VII. Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa remain behind to deal with Rude and Elena in the arena. Bless you, Dio, for installing a rest area. "The Fight for Naming Rights" complete. After the scene, we gain control of Cloud and company in the arena (28:34). The main scenario "Interlopers" and the sub-scenario "Catch Your Breath" begin. After resting up, the party must talk to Dio to deal with Rude and Elena. Tifa swaps her Level 2 Time Materia and AP Up Materia to Barret in exchange for his maxed Time Materia and Magnify Materia. She also takes his Revival Materia, Lightning Materia, and Wind Materia. The party rests at the temporary rest area. At the Vending Machine, they spend 500 gil on an on-sale Hi-Ether and 100 gil on an on-sale Phoenix Down. They can chat with Rude and Elena, who seem to think they are going to win. I have bad news for them. The party saves. Cloud swaps his Comet Materia to Barret for the Level 2 Time Materia. When ready, the party talks to Dio (31:28). It is time to fight the Turks. "Catch Your Breath" complete. A cutscene takes place. After the event, it is boss time once more against Elena and Rude (32:15). Similar to the battle against them in the Mythril Mine, but of course the Turks are higher-level now. Elena is weak to lightning-elemental damage, Rude to wind-elemental damage. An event takes place partway through their battle (34:53). Elena and Rude will attempt a synergy ability of their own. Elena is a good target to take out first due to her abilities. However, Rude can bring her back to her senses with a Phoenix Down. The party defeats Elena and Rude (40:28). The party earns 50 party EXP. A cutscene takes place after the party defeats the Turks. A "special guest" enters the arena. Well well, someone thinks he can downsize Cloud. That's rich. After the scene, Cloud battles Rufus one-on-one (42:22). Rufus has a variety of painful pistol attacks. The best time to attack him is when he is reloading. Hitting Rufus with an ATB attack after Rufus has attacked is also effective. An event takes place partway through the battle (48:57). Rufus's vicious pet, Darkstar, joins its master in the fight. Thankfully, Cloud can call on a summon. I often find Phoenix useful. Darkstar should become Cloud's target. Inflicting enough damage to it or severing its link with Rufus will pressure it. Perfect-blocking Rufus's Thunderclap attack is useful, as well. When Darkstar has taken enough damage, Rufus will dismiss it. In the end, Cloud defeats Rufus and Darkstar (51:38). The party earns 50 party EXP. A cutscene takes place after Cloud has defeated Rufus. Unfortunately, our heroes have a turn-cat to catch. "Interlopers" complete. 52:35 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square Cloud gains control in the Battle Square lobby. The main scenario "Cait Burglar" begins. Time to look for Cait Sith. Cloud rests at the rest area by the registration desk. An event takes place as Cloud approaches Aerith near the lobby exit (53:27). Ah, there he goes! In the gift shop, Cloud examines Cait Sith on the circular counter for plush toys (53:53). Drat, he's fast! "Cait Burglar" complete. The main scenario "Scaredy Cat" begins (54:11). The party must pursue Cait Sith. A brief event takes place as the party descends the stairway outside the colosseum (54:28). The party takes the people mover to Park Central (54:40). 54:55 - Gold Saucer - Park Central Cait Sith flees downstairs as the party arrives in Park Central on the Park - 2F level. "Scaredy Cat" complete. The main scenario "Cat and Mouse" begins. The party must find Cait Sith. The party goes downstairs to the Park - 1F level (55:20). As Cloud approaches Barret near the exit to Event Square, an event takes place (56:33). Cat sighted! Another event takes place as Cloud approaches Vincent on the stairway towards Ghost Square (56:57). There he went. Just southeast of the stairway to Event Square, Cloud examines cait Sith on the extra Moogle on the bench (57:14). Leave you alone? No can do, Cait Sith. Get back here! "Cat and Mouse" begins. The main scenario "Hightailing It" begins. Cait Sith has fled down a passage east of the exit to Event Square, and Cloud must continue the pursuit. Cloud chases Cait Sith into the Utilidor in the southeast. 57:49 - Gold Saucer - Utilidor A brief event takes place as Cloud enters the Utilidor. Afterwards, he pursues Cait Sith through this maintenance area. A brief event takes place partway through (58:23). In a circular room in the northeast of the Utilidor, a treasure chest contains a Crystalline Cross (59:07). Yuffie equips this new shuriken, which provides the Banishment ability. She equips the following weapon skills: Altruistic Recovery +10%, Magic Attack Power +20, and Debuff Extension. After saving, the party continues north. They exit to the Welcome Area at the Entrance. 1:00:25 - Gold Saucer - Entrance A cutscene takes place as the party emerges in the Welcome Area. Cait Sith leaves the party, and his equipment is returned to inventory. However, the party does have a lead to follow. "Hightailing It" complete. After the cutscene, Chadley contacts the party with a communication from Kid G (1:03:49). The "Phenomenon Intel 3: Modular Reactor 3" point of interest is added to the map in Southern Corel. At last. The main scenario "Tracking the Turks" begins. The next destination is the Tiny Bronco. Party selection is unlocked, and fast travel becomes available again. The party saves. Next time, the party will work on the remaining Phenomenon Intel missions in the Corel Region. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:12 - Costa del Sol The party resumes in Costa del Sol. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" is in progress. The party checks the Community Noticeboard outside the Bar del Sol (0:54). The only job now available is "Gold Cup or Bust". The client is Billy at Chocobo Square in the Gold Saucer. Cloud will help Billy later. The party warps to the Gold Saucer. 1:13 - Gold Saucer - Entrance As the party arrives in the Gold Saucer, a cutscene takes place. After the others split up, Cait Sith bends Cloud's ear for a moment. "The Keystone's Whereabouts" complete. The main scenario "Find Dio" begins. Fast travel becomes unavailable. Cloud and Cait Sith must check with their friends to see if they have learned about Dio's whereabouts. Cloud takes the nearby Guide Moogle to Skywheel Square. 2:55 - Gold Saucer - Skywheel Square Cloud will find Barkers touting a certain competition in Battle Square. Interesting. Cloud talks to Tifa at Skywheel Square (3:34). An event takes place. This starts and completes the sub-scenario "Tifa's Information". Dio is elsewhere. Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Ghost Square. 5:09 - Gold Saucer - Ghost Square The specter of Lidrehl awaits in the Haunted Hotel's lobby. Cloud will challenge him later. Also in the hotel's lobby, Cloud talks to Vincent (6:01). This starts and completes the sub-scenario "Vincent's Information". Dio is elsewhere. Cloud also finds Chadley in the bar. He takes the Guide Moogle to Wonderment Square. 7:15 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square After saving, Cloud talks to Yuffie at the 3D Brawler machines (8:35). An event takes place. She challenges him to a game of 3D Brawler. Oh, why not? 8:54 - 3D Brawler - Yuffie Cloud plays a 3D Brawler game against Yuffie. In this match, he must evade her straight punches and uppercuts. Not especially difficult. When it is apparent that Cloud will not win in his first attempt, he retries and plays a second game (12:03). Not terribly hard, once you get the hang of it, I guess. I'm just not one for fighter games. Cloud defeats Yuffie in his second attempt. 14:52 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square An event takes place after Cloud defeats Yuffie. His relationship with her changes. This starts and completes the sub-scenario "Yuffie's Information". Dio is elsewhere. Cloud can play Yuffie again if he is so inclined. I'm not. Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Event Square. 16:03 - Gold Saucer - Event Square At the start of the hall leading from the lobby to the auditorium, Cloud talks to Barret (16:44). An event takes place. Poor Jessie. This starts and completes the sub-scenario "Barret's Information". Dio is elsewhere. Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Speed Square. 17:50 - Gold Saucer - Speed Square Near the door to the Galactic Saviors "hangar", Cloud talks to Cid (18:28). This starts and completes the sub-scenario "Cid's Information". Dio is elsewhere. Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Chocobo Square. 19:07 - Gold Saucer - Chocobo Square Billy can be found here with his available quest. As I said earlier, Cloud will help him later. Cloud talks to Red XIII on the northeastern side of the central counter (19:49). An event takes place. This starts and completes the sub-scenario "Red XIII's Information". Dio is elsewhere. Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Battle Square. 21:23 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square A scene takes place as Cloud approaches Aerith in the lobby (21:55). Well, Corneo blimey. The sub-scenario "Aerith's Inkling" begins. The Musclehead Colosseum is the next destination. Cloud follows Aerith west. An event takes place as they enter the Musclehead Colosseum (23:08). "Aerith's Inkling" complete. A cutscene takes place as Cloud approaches Dio (23:35). He will help the party if they fight on his behalf in the "Fight for Naming Rights". Don't worry, Dio; I'd help you crush Corneo's lowlifes even if the Keystone weren't involved. "Find Dio" complete. The main scenario "Prepare for Tomorrow" begins. Cloud must rest at the Haunted Hotel. Fast travel is available again. Cloud takes the Moogle Guide to Ghost Square. 27:35 - Gold Saucer - Ghost Square After saving, Cloud rings the bell at the Haunted Hotel's counter to call the Concierge (28:53). The tutorial "Date Night at the Gold Saucer" appears. Finally, it is time. Cloud's relationship with his allies determines how this part of the story will unfold. I believe Cloud's relationship with each of his datable allies has reached a high level. If he so chooses, Cloud can cancel out now and carry out any remaining odd jobs. Cloud chooses to rest until tomorrow (29:15). A cutscene takes place. I wonder what Aerith is up to. Bad boy, Cait Sith. Another scene takes place in the Tonberry Suite (30:38). If I remember correctly, something odd happened when he stayed here last time, as well. "Prepare for Tomorrow" complete. 31:18 - Interlude Episode 6 - Sector 5 Undercity A cutscene takes place as we open on Interlude Episode 6 at Aerith's House in the Sector 5 Undercity. We gain control of Zack on the ground floor of Aerith's House (31:41). The main scenario "Tending to the Sick" begins. Zack goes upstairs. As he enters Aerith and Cloud's room, an event with Marlene takes place (32:30). Marlene has seen something that does not bode well. Another scene with Zack and Elmyra takes place in the Flower Garden outside the house (35:12). "Tending to the Sick" complete. We regain control of Zack in the Flower Garden (37:19). The main scenario "A Cure for Cloud" begins. Zack can still talk with Elmyra in the Flower Garden and Marlene in the house. When he is ready to go, Zack follows the path towards the Center District (38:42). Zack examines the motorcycle not far from Aerith's House (39:02). Before he sets out, though, he finds a note that fills him with concern. Great. "A Cure for Cloud" complete. 40:02 - Gold Saucer - Ghost Square Another cutscene takes place as we rejoin Cloud in the Haunted Hotel's Tonberry Suite. Someone is at the door. Cloud regains control after the event (40:23). The main scenario "A Visitor, Come Again" begins. Fast travel is unavailable again. Cloud opens the door for the moment of truth (40:54). A cutscene with Aerith takes place. Call me sentimental, but I was hoping it would be either her or Tifa. She gives him the Premium Ticket key item. "A Visitor, Come Again" complete. The main scenario "Loveless" begins (41:37). The next destination is the Event Square. Cloud and Aerith take the elevator to the lobby of the Haunted Hotel (42:14). Then, they take the Guide Moogle to the Event Square. 42:55 - Gold Saucer - Event Square Aerith speaks briefly as Cloud approaches the hall to the auditorium (43:24). After saving, Cloud talks to the Usher at the door to the auditorium (44:13). He chooses to watch the play. 44:17 - Gold Saucer - Golden Theatre A cutscene takes place as Cloud and Aerith enter the Golden Theatre. It seems a certain "Maycomb Blume" has something extra to do. Then, an intriguing VR play begins (45:23). We return to the auditorium for a scene (48:30). It sounds like the next part of the story will require audience participation. The next part of the VR play begins (49:11). There is an intro from a familiar-looking Fool. In his cell, Cloud as Alphreid must choose his path (50:00). He faces the sword and shield and chooses "Test Your Might". This provides a tutorial of the button-pressing minigame. Afterwards, Cloud examines the cell door and chooses "Face Your Fate" (51:25). A cutscene with "Rosa" takes place. She looks quite familiar. In the next scene, we meet "Varvados" and "Garm". Both are also played by party members. When he can, Cloud chooses the Dragon King Varvados as his first opponent (54:00). Act I: "Clash with Varvados" begins. The button-pressing minigame ensues in this choreographed fight. A scene takes place after the battle with Varvados (55:19). The "Fool" gives Cloud another option. Cloud chooses to divine Garm's Weakness (56:09). Then, Act II: "Clash with Garm" begins (56:43). I wonder if Cloud's choice to divine Garm's weakness reduced the difficulty of this choreographed fight. Another scene takes place after the battle with Garm (58:03). Cloud is presented with another choice. "Alphreid" chooses "Rosa" as his beloved (59:48). However, the minigame mayhem is not over yet. Act III: "Grand Finale" begins (1:00:20). "Alphreid" and "Rosa" now do epic battle against "Varvados" and "Garm". Somehow, I managed to score an S in that performance. A final event with "Varvados" concludes this epic confrontation (1:01:46). Afterwards, another cutscene with "Alphreid" and "Rosa" takes place (1:02:40). Then, a scene that appears to take place on the stage takes place (1:03:42). The game's theme song is performed. It even works in Aerith's theme, which is lovely. Hopefully, I can keep the song in. Cloud's relationships with Barret, Tifa, Aerith, Red XIII, and Yuffie change. The player earns the trophy "Critically Acclaimed" for receiving a review of S or higher for their performance in Loveless at the Gold Saucer. This one seems pretty forgiving. The description is continued in a reply.

Description continuation: 1:09:18 - Gold Saucer - Event Square A cutscene with Cloud and Aerith takes place as they emerge from the auditorium. "Loveless" complete. The main scenario "Private Moment" begins (1:09:44). The next stop is the Skywheel. After saving, Cloud and Aerith take the Guide Moogle to the Skywheel Square. 1:11:08 - Gold Saucer - Skywheel Square In the northwest, Cloud and Aerith talk to the Skywheel Attendant (1:12:28). They choose to ride the Skywheel. They give up the Premium Ticket. A cutscene takes place as Cloud and Aerith board and ride the Skywheel. Impressive displays, but there is also an important heart-to-heart. Another cutscene takes place after the ride ends (1:17:25). Cloud's relationship with Aerith changes. "Private Moment" complete. 1:18:03 - Skies Above Corel The next morning, a cutscene takes place in a helicopter in the skies above Corel. Looks like trouble. 1:19:09 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square A cutscene with Cloud takes place as he arrives in the Battle Square. The tutorial "The Fight for Naming Rights" appears. The battle party will consist of Cloud, his date the previous night, and a party member of the player's choosing. The main scenario "The Fight for Naming Rights" begins. The party saves. Next time, they will enter the Musclehead Colosseum to take Corneo's cronies down. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:12 - Corel Prison The party resumes in Corel Prison in the Dustbowl. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" is in progress. The party talks to the Queen's Blood card vendor, the Card Collector (0:54). They spend 500 gil on the newly available QB Booster Pack: Carnival of Carnage. It contains the following cards: No. 072: Black Bat, No. 075: Adjudicator, and No. 076: Yin & Yang. Afterwards, the party warps to the village of Gongaga destination in the Gongaga Region. 1:30 - Gongaga In the Gongaga Saloon in the Felicia Commons area, the party talks to Regina (2:10). She does not sound too enthusiastic, but Cloud challenges her to a game. He checks over his deck and available cards. So many options. Cloud cancels out and saves. Then, he talks to Regina again (4:20) and challenges her for real. 4:25 - Queen's Blood - Regina Cloud plays a game of Queen's blood against Regina. After obstructing much of the board, Cloud wins the match (6:39). For defeating Regina, he earns the No. 053: Maloceros card. Another curious cutscene with Lidrehl takes place after the game (6:55). Very interesting! 9:28 - Gongaga Another scene with Regina ensues. For defeating 24 Queen's Blood players, including Regina, Cloud reaches Queen's Blood Rank 9: Blood Marquis. Chadley calls Cloud afterwards (10:08). It seems a "friendly specter" is waiting to play a game of Queen's Blood against Cloud at the Ghost Hotel in the Gold Saucer. One more reason to go to the Saucer. The party warps to the Costa del Sol destination in the Corel Region. 10:55 - Costa del Sol The party uses the changing booth to change into their casual wear (11:19). Since the Johnny clones are no more, the party can now talk to Jenny near the town entrance for their teleportation needs (11:39). A brief event takes place when the party talks to her. They warp to the Costa Beach in the northeast of town. The party visits the Materia Vendor (12:46). I was hoping he would have Revival Materia available, but such is not the case. At the Costa del Sol Resort hotel in the north, the party talks to Maahir the boxer after saving (13:42). Cloud challenges him to Queen's Blood. 14:09 - Queen's Blood - Maahir After checking his deck, Cloud starts the game against Maahir (14:49). Cloud wins on the first try (17:44). For defeating Maahir, he earns a No. 079: 2-C SOLDIER Operator card. 18:04 - Costa del Sol Maahir speaks a little bit after the match. At the Queen's Blood Vendor near the Costa Port, the party talks to Riana after saving (19:31). Cloud challenges her to Queen's Blood. 19:59 - Queen's Blood - Riana After checking his deck, Cloud starts the game against Riana (20:26). She may look like a princess, but she has a few frogs in her deck. Cloud does not win in the first attempt. Cloud retries and plays a second game against Riana (23:39). This time, Cloud wins (26:26). For defeating Riana, he earns a No. 077: Diabolic Variant card. 26:45 - Costa del Sol There is some dialogue after Cloud defeats Riana. The party talks to the Amusement Attendant at the Card Carnival (27:40). Some new challenges have been unlocked here. There are Collection Challenges that have cards based on the protagonists available as prizes. Intriguing. At the Bar del Sol, the party talks to Dokaccha after saving (29:13). Cloud challenges him to a Queen's Blood game. 29:47 - Queen's Blood - Dokaccha After reviewing his deck, Cloud starts the match against Dokaccha (30:09). Cloud wins on the first try (33:04). For defeating Dokaccha, he earns a No. 074: Rictus card. 33:22 - Costa del Sol There is some dialogue after Cloud defeats Dokaccha. The party warps to the Scrapyard Prison Cell destination in Southern Corel. 34:17 - Corel Region - Southern Corel The party uses the Vending Machine outside the Scrapyard Prison Cell (34:29). They buy two orbs of Revival Materia for 3,000 gil apiece. The party warps back to the Costa del Sol destination in Northern Corel. 34:53 - Costa del Sol The party uses the changing booth to change to their casual clothes (35:06). Aerith replaces her Enervation Materia with a new orb of Revival Materia. Barret transfers his Petrify Materia to Yuffie and equips a new orb of Revival Materia. The party saves. Barret links his Magnify Materia with his Binding Materia. The party talks to Chadley (36:42). They boot up the ol' Combat Simulator. 37:06 - Combat Simulator - Regions "Corel Region Intel: Level 2" under Regions is not available yet. There are three more Corel Region enemy types that the party must register beforehand. Under Regions, the party undertakes the combat trial "Gongaga Region Intel: Level 2" (37:13). The requirement is to battle 20 enemy types in the Gongaga Region. This trial is pretty tricky. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Aerith, and Barret. In Round 1, the party battles 2 Chimera Mimics. Nothing too hard. In Round 2, the party battles 2 Death Claws and 2 Necrotic Entities. This group can be dangerous, what with the Death Claws' lethal Reaper Claws ability. It helps to battle them one at a time and lock down the riffraff with Sleep. In Round 3, the party battles a Landworm and a Duneworm. These are also dangerous with their ability to swallow party members. In Round 4, the party battles 2 Silver Chimeras. Hm, I thought this was supposed to be Gongaga Region Intel. In Round 5, the party battles a Modded Sweeper and a White Terror. The White Terror is susceptible to Sleep, so the party can send it to dreamland while they take out the Modded Sweeper. The party defeats all the enemies (49:02). For completing "Gongaga Region Intel: Level 2", they earn a Level 3 orb of HP Up Materia. The party exits the Combat Simulator. 49:30 - Costa del Sol Au contraire, Chadley; that latest trial was pretty challenging. After saving, the party talks to Chadley again (49:48). They boot up the Combat Simulator once more. 50:01 - Combat Simulator - Regions Under Regions, the party undertakes the combat trial "Cosmo Canyon Region Intel: Level 2" (50:06). The requirement is to battle 22 enemy types in the Cosmo Canyon Region. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Aerith, and Barret. In Round 1, the party battles an Irasceros. Though weak to lightning, this bull-headed fiend swaps between immunity to physical attacks and immunity to magic attacks. It can use Concentrate to restore its stagger gauge, but Concentrate can be interrupted with powerful attacks. In Round 2, the party battles a Gigantuar. Quite a prickly character. In Round 3, the party battles a Mystic Dragon. In Round 4, the party battles a White Mousse and 2 Amalgams. The Amalgams can resurrect themselves after being defeated, but burning them with fire-elemental damage will prevent this. The White Mousse can devour a party member for a time. Hitting it with elemental damage will pressure it, but it will also make it resistant to the element it was hit with. In Round 5, the party battles a Reapertail. The Reapertail is weak to ice-elemental damage. Enough ice-elemental magic damage will pressure it. Apparently, following up with fire leaves it open to attack. It becomes more susceptible to physical attacks while pressured. Cloud reaches level 48 and earns 5 SP. The party defeats all the enemies (1:01:45). For completing "Cosmo Canyon Region Intel: Level 2", they earn a Level 3 orb of MP Up Materia. There is another combat trial available right now, but the party will suffer through it later. Though that Level 2 orb of Revival Materia sounds appealing. 1:02:12 - Costa del Sol The party saves. Next time, they will return to the Gold Saucer to continue the story and seek the Keystone. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Shinra Manor The party resumes at the Front Gate of Shinra Manor. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" is in progress. The party warps to the Costa del Sol Port destination in Costa del Sol, Corel Region. 0:58 - Costa del Sol At the Costa Port, the party examines the treasure chest with crossed sabers over it (1:08). A cutscene with Cloud and Red XIII takes place. The party obtains the Pirate's Treasure Map key item and the Transmuter Chip: Corsair's Compass. The chip provides the recipe for the Corsair's Compass. The tutorial "The Pirate's Treasure Map" appears. With this map, the party can scour the Meridian Ocean for the four pieces of the Pirate King's treasure. They will have to defeat fearsome fiends, as well. The discovery "The Pirate King's Treasure" begins. The party checks the Item Transmuter and looks at the Corsair's Compass entry. They need to find the Pirate's Relic α, the Pirate's Relic β, the Pirate's Relic γ, and the Pirate's Relic δ to transmute this accessory. They add the Corsair's Compass to the to-do list. The party talks to Cid at the dock and sets sail on the Tiny Bronco. 4:08 - Meridian Ocean The hunt for the Pirate King's treasure will take the party to ports all over the Meridian Ocean. They start by "sailing" south along the Corel Region's coast. The party can disembark at various spots along the way, such as the southern beach of Northern Corel. If they disembark at such places, though, the Tiny Bronco will head for the nearest "formal" port. In the southwest of the Meridian Ocean, the party docks at a port off the east coast of the Gongaga Region. 8:21 - Meridian Ocean - Pirate King's Grotto α The party finds the "Pirate King's Grotto α" cache location. There is one treasure to find here. Before the party can claim the treasure, they must battle the Ogre Raider (8:50). The Ogre Raider is weak to ice-elemental damage. Inflicting enough ice-elemental damage will pressure it. However, its rage grows throughout the battle. With each roar it emits, its power intensifies, reaching its apex after the third. The party defeats the Ogre Raider. Afterwards, they climb the rock wall in the southwest. There are several crates here, as well as a chest. The party finds three Moogle Medals in the crates. The treasure chest contains the Pirate's Relic α (11:42). "Pirate King's Grotto α" complete! The party returns to the dock. They talk to Cid to board the Tiny Bronco. 12:55 - Meridian Ocean The party "sails" east across the southern edge of the Meridian Ocean. While sailing the ocean, the party can find glowing barrels (14:31). They can hit these to find a piece of Pirate Jetsam. If you wait a little bit, these things will be easier to track down with a certain item. The party finds another piece of Pirate Jetsam (15:30). They find another piece of Pirate Jetsam farther east (16:28). Cid has some dialogue as the party sails the ocean blue (16:51). Sorry about your plane, Cid. The party finds another piece of Pirate Jetsam in the southeastern part of the sea (17:42). The party docks at a port off the southeastern coast of the Junon Region. 18:21 - Meridian Ocean - Pirate King's Grotto β The party finds the "Pirate King's Grotto β" cache location. There is one treasure to find here. The party battles the Brineborn Demon (18:47). The Brineborn Demon is weak to fire-elemental damage. It becomes pressured when it assumes a Counterstance. It will counter physical attacks while in this stance. After some time in this stance, it will cast Graviga on the party and return to its normal stance. However, staggering it while it is in Counterstance will prevent it from using Graviga. After defeating the Brineborn Demon, the party climbs the rock wall in the north. They find Moogle Medals in three of the crates. The treasure chest contains the Pirate's Relic β (21:58). "Pirate King's Grotto β" complete! The party warps to the Costa del Sol Port destination. 22:41 - Costa del Sol The party warps to the Costa del Sol - Johnny's Seaside Inn destination (22:53). They rest inside. Afterwards, they warp back to the Costa del Sol Port destination and board the Tiny Bronco. 23:30 - Meridian Ocean The party next "sails" north from Costa del Sol. Cid has some dialogue as they proceed north (25:41). Near a channel northeast of Costa del Sol, they find a piece of Pirate Jetsam (26:47). On the continent's side of the channel northeast of Costa del Sol, the party docks at a port. 27:10 - Meridian Ocean - Pirate King's Grotto γ The party finds the "Pirate King's Grotto γ" cache location. There is one treasure to find here. The party battles the Hueyacoatl (27:35). The Hueyacoatl is weak to wind-elemental damage. When it enters a Supercharged state, it emits electricity. In this state, attacking it will make it unleash a paralyzing bolt of lightning, but it will also pressure it. Exploiting its weakness to wind generates an electric charge, but it also makes it more susceptible to being pressured. After defeating the Hueyacoatl, the party climbs the rock wall in the west. They find Moogle Medals in three of the crates. The treasure chest contains the Pirate's Relic γ (32:01). "Pirate King's Grotto γ" complete! The party warps to the Costa del Sol - Johnny's Seaside Inn destination in the Corel Region. 32:55 - Costa del Sol The party rests in Johnny's inn once more. Then, they warp back to the Pirate King's Grotto γ destination in the Meridian Ocean and board the Tiny Bronco. 33:33 - Meridian Ocean The party continues "sailing" northeast from Pirate King's Grotto γ. They find another piece of Pirate Jetsam not far to the northeast (34:06). In the northeastern bay of an island in the northwest, they find another piece of Pirate Jetsam (36:07). In a small cove in the northwest of the large northwestern island, the party docks at a port. 37:18 - Meridian Ocean - Pirate King's Grotto δ The party finds the "Pirate King's Grotto δ" cache location. There is one treasure to find here. The party saves before setting out. Aerith takes Yuffie's Poison Materia and swaps her Item Master Materia for Yuffie's Synergy Materia. She links the Poison Materia and Synergy Materia. The party battles the Sea Dragon (38:37). The Sea Dragon is weak to lightning-elemental damage, but it is immune to ice and absorbs fire. When it is enveloped in Galvanizing Flames, it counters the party's attacks with powerful fire. Inflicting Poison quenches its flames and pressures it. Only lightning-elemental attacks will fill its stagger gauge. After defeating the Sea Dragon, the party climbs the rock wall in the north. They find Moogle Medals in three of the crates. The treasure chest contains the Pirate's Relic δ (42:20). "Pirate King's Grotto δ" complete! An event takes place now that they have obtained all four fragments. They must now transmute the compass. The party transmutes the Corsair's Compass accessory (42:38). This accessory partitions the ATB gauge into 3 segments for a short period after using 5 types of commands. Another event takes place after the party has transmuted the Corsair's Compass. Sweet, Red. The tutorial "Corsair's Compass" appears. Now that the party has the Corsair's Compass, a compass may appear while they are on the Tiny Bronco. It will lead to treasure. "The Pirate King's Treasure" complete! The party talks to Cid and sets sail aboard the Tiny Bronco. 45:31 - Meridian Ocean Following the Corsair's Compass's guidance, the party finds a piece of Pirate Jetsam along the coast south/southwest of the Pirate King's Grotto δ (46:01). Nifty. The party warps to the Dustbowl destination in the Corel Region. 46:22 - Corel Prison The party rests at the Bedbug Lodge and saves. Just northwest of the Bedbug Lodge, the party talks to Wize (47:19). Oh excuse me, it's Wize 3.0 Version 2.0. To challenge Wize to Queen's Blood, Cloud must be Rank 7: Blood Captain. Cloud agrees to challenge Wize to a match (47:55). He reviews his deck. After inadvertently canceling out, Cloud talks to Wize again and engages QB protocol. 48:33 - Queen's Blood - Wize 3.0 Version 2.0 Cloud plays a match against Wize. In spite of a rough patch, Cloud eventually wins the match (51:13). For crashing Wize 3.0 Ver. 2.0, he wins a No. 056: Grangalan card. A cutscene takes place after Cloud defeats Wize (51:34). Well, this does not look good for old Lidrehl. 52:46 - Corel Prison Another cutscene takes place when we return to Cloud and Wize. Wize has a harrowing tale to relate. His malfunctions are of little help. For defeating a total of 21 Queen's Blood opponents and defeating Wize, Cloud reaches Queen's Blood Rank 8: Blood Tactician. Chadley contacts Cloud (55:15). Cloud can now confront Regina, whom he previously met aboard the Shinra-8, at the Gongaga Saloon in Gongaga. Yippee skippy. The party saves. It looks like they have some Queen's Blood and combat trials to catch up on next time. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Nibelheim The party resumes near Chadley in the Residential Area of Nibelheim. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" is in progress. The party examines the Community Noticeboard outside the Town Hall in the Water Tower Square (1:01). They sign up for the new job, "Lament of the Damned". Sounds fun. The client is the Unnerved Supervisor at Nibelheim's Town Hall. In the Town Hall, the party talks to the Supervisor (1:46). Nibel Region Quest 3: "Lament of the Damned" begins. Cloud asks all the available questions. Now, the party must return to Shinra Manor and investigate rumors of a wailing woman. The party leaves the Town Hall. They exit town northeast through the Mt. Nibel Gate. 5:39 - Nibel Region The party heads northwest to Shinra Manor. 5:55 - Shinra Manor The party goes through the Front Gate to the Courtyard. As they take the door to the Entrance Hall, a cutscene with Barret and Vincent takes place (6:15). The party must now investigate the manor's lower levels. Barret takes Tifa's Wind Materia and Lightning Materia. Cloud replaces the Magic Efficiency Materia linked to his Healing Materia with an orb of Magnify Materia. He swaps his Magnify Materia with Barret's, which is maxed. The party heads southwest to the Living Room. They call the elevator. The party takes the elevator down to the Mako Research Facility (9:47). An event takes place as they descend. 10:02 - Mako Research Facility The party arrives in the Vault on the Mako Research Facility - Section S level. They exit northeast to Classified Equipment Storage. As the party approaches Vincent by the northeastern elevator, an event takes place (10:51). He gives them the Security Card key item, which grants access to the lower levels. The party takes the elevator downstairs (11:29). More dialogue takes place as they descend. The party alights in the Connecting Passage on the Mako Research Facility - Section X level. They follow the corridor northeast. There is dialogue on the way (13:19). Vincent explains that the party must complete challenges in the Combat Simulator to proceed. They find a Moogle Medal in one of the crates along the way. The party reaches the Mako Research Combat Simulator room (13:44). After saving, they examine the pedestal in the simulator room (14:09). An event with a holographic Hojo takes place. Lovely. 14:55 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Preliminary Trials To proceed with the quest, the party must complete the Preliminary Trials in the Shinra Combat Simulator. First up, they undertake "Preliminary Trial: Aerial Specimens" (15:05). They choose a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles four Scrutineyes. The condition is to defeat all enemies within the time limit of 1:30.00. Not too hard, despite the Scrutineyes' high evasiveness. The Scrutineyes are weak to lightning. The party defeats the enemies within the time limit (15:51). For clearing "Preliminary Trial: Aerial Specimens", they earn a Giga-Potion. Next, the party undertakes "Preliminary Trial: Ruthless Specimens" (16:26). The requirement is to complete "Preliminary Trial: Aerial Specimens". They choose a lineup of Cloud, Aerith, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles three Amalgams and an Adjudicator. The condition is to defeat all enemies within the time limit of 1:30.00. The Adjudicator is weak to lightning, the Amalgams to fire. The party defeats the enemies within the time limit (17:55). For clearing "Preliminary Trial: Ruthless Specimens", they earn a Dry Ether. The party leaves the simulator. 18:38 - Mako Research Facility The party saves. Then, they boot up Hojo's simulator again. 19:04 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Preliminary Trials The party undertakes the third trial, "Preliminary Trial: Comparable Specimens". The requirement is to complete "Preliminary Trial: Ruthless Specimens". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles two Necrotic Entities and a Yin & Yang. The conditions are to (1) defeat all enemies within the time limit of 2:30.00 and (2) stagger enemies three times. Condition 2 is clearly the trickier. The Necrotic Entities can be pressured by hitting them with powerful offensive abilities while they are casting a spell, by evading their Onslaught ability, or by attacking them during Subastral Fury. The Yin & Yang is weak to fire. It can be pressured by incapacitating one of its heads, though the remaining head will go berserk afterwards. The party defeats the enemies and satisfies all the conditions (22:08). For clearing "Preliminary Trial: Comparable Specimens", they earn a Mist Mega-Potion. Finally, the party undertakes "Preliminary Trial: Bioselected Specimens" (22:51). The requirement is to complete "Preliminary Trial: Comparable Specimens". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles an Adjudicator and a Yin & Yang. The conditions are to (1) defeat all enemies within the time limit of 2:00.00 and (2) stagger enemies twice. I did not find staggering each enemy to be as much of a challenge this time. The party defeats the enemies and satisfies all the conditions (25:40). For clearing "Preliminary Trial: Bioselected Specimens", they earn a Level 2 orb of Item Master Materia. They have finished all the Preliminary Trials. Joy. 26:08 - Mako Research Facility The Hojo AI speaks to the party after their success. The door leading forward opens. The party must now head north and identify the voice. As the party continues to the northern Connecting Passage, more dialogue takes place (26:58). I think I know the woman Vincent is describing. The party saves before they continue into the northern room. 28:32 - Mako Research Facility - Specimen Enclosure Another cutscene with the Hojo AI takes place as the party enters the Specimen Enclosure. Vincent, you're a prince. After the scene, the party confronts a Dranabarga (29:27). They have now registered 24 Nibel Region enemy types. The Dranabarga is weak to ice-elemental attacks but resistant to fire- and lightning-elemental attacks. Its shelled rear is impervious to physical attacks. Inflicting high damage during Subdue will pressure it. When its HP is low, its attacks inflict poison. The party defeats the Dranabarga (32:50). Since the party has registered 24 Nibel Region enemy types, the combat trial "Nibel Region Intel: Level 2" becomes available. A cutscene with Barret and Vincent follows. "Lament of the Damned" complete! Vincent rewards Cloud with "The Art of Swordplay Vol. VI", which provides 10 SP for Cloud. Cloud's relationship with Barret changes. The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,600 EXP. The tutorial "Combat Simulator Update" appears. A new line of trials has been added to the Mako Research Facility's Combat Simulator. The discovery "Hojo's Exams" begins. And finally, we have Vincent's haunting theme playing. After checking the Specimen Enclosure room, the party exits south. 35:13 - Mako Research Facility The party goes through the northern Connecting Passage to the Mako Research Combat Simulator room. After saving, they boot up the Combat Simulator (35:55). 36:04 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Evaluations The more advanced combat trials, "Evaluations", are now available. The party undertakes "Evaluation: Fusion Analysis" (36:12). The requirement is to complete "Preliminary Trial: Bioselected Specimens". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles two Necrotic Entities and two Amalgams. The condition is to defeat all enemies within the time limit of 2:00.00. The party defeats the enemies within the time limit (38:32). For clearing "Evaluation: Fusion Analysis", they earn an Astral Remnant. Next, the party undertakes "Evaluation: Dominant Traits" (39:08). The requirement is to complete "Evaluation: Fusion Analysis". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles an Adjudicator and two Yin & Yangs. The condition is to defeat all enemies within the time limit of 3:00.00. The party defeats the enemies within the time limit (43:11). For clearing "Evaluation: Dominant Traits", they earn a Turbo Ether. Halfway through the Evaluations, the party exits the simulator. 43:47 - Mako Research Facility The party saves. Then, they boot up the Combat Simulator again (43:59). 44:07 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Evaluations The party undertakes the third trial, "Evaluation: Antinomic Traits". The requirement is to complete "Evaluation: Dominant Traits". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Aerith, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles a Yin & Yang and two Adjudicators. Description continuation: 50:34 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Evaluations The party undertakes the last trial, "Evaluation: Forsaken Specimens". The requirement is to complete "Evaluation: Antinomic Traits". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Aerith, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles a Diabolic Variant, the same fiend that Cloud, Yuffie, and Tifa faced at the Nibel Mako Reactor. The conditions are to (1) defeat all enemies within the time limit of 3:00.00 and (2) stagger an enemy. The Diabolic Variant is weak to ice-elemental damage. Destroying the tentacles on its Right Arm will pressure it. After taking a certain amount of damage, it can summon a clone. It can also use Enshadow, which toxifies the battlefield. The party defeats the Diabolic Variants and satisfies the conditions (53:09). For clearing "Evaluation: Forsaken Specimens", they earn a pair of Subversion Materia Earrings. They have completed all Evaluations in the simulator. 53:37 - Mako Research Facility Since the party has completed all the Evaluations, the door to Hojo's secret laboratory opens to the west. "Hojo's Exams" complete! The party heads west to the Simulator Control Room (53:57). There are lots of crates and a few chests. The party finds Moogle Medals in a couple of the crates. A chest in the south contains an X-Potion (54:10). A chest in the west contains an Enchanted Ring (54:23). The western chest in the north contains the Plumose Rod (54:41). Aerith equips this weapon, which provides the Ray of Judgment ability. She equips the weapon skills Not-So-Fleeting Familiar, Max HP +200, and Enduring Ward. The eastern chest in the north contains a bottle of Turbo Ether (55:43). The party warps to the Shinra Manor destination. 57:02 - Shinra Manor At the Front Gate, the party rests at the rest bench. There is more side content available, such as a treasure hunt originating in Costa del Sol and more Queen's Blood matches. The party will get to those next time. Thanks for watching!
